I love baking and I own about every pan that can be used for baking goodies. My nemesis though, was the beautiful but hard on my feelings, Bundt cake pan. I'd grease and flour, butter and flower, pray, curse, invert completely cool, partly cool, and any of the assortment all with mediocre results when making a Bundt cake. Desperate, I looked to the internet to learn a successful way to get a perfect one.

I ran across a thread on Baker's Joy and then searched for it online. I found it on Amazon but at nearly ten bucks a can, that's more than I wanted to spend for perfection. Bummed out, I thought I'd try my local Walmart to see if I could find Pam for Baking. I couldn't find it but next to the regular Pam was, you guessed it, Baker's Joy- for less than three dollars!

I got the stuff for a lemon Bundt Cake and my Baker's Joy and headed home. I followed the instructions on the can, poured my batter, and when the cake finished baking, I let it cool nearly completely, and inverted my pan, let me tell you this was the most beautiful Bundt cake I had ever seen! Of course, I might be biased. :o)

Today I made a chocolate swirl cheesecake with a graham cracker crust and worried about my spring form pan, I used Baker's Joy. Now my cake is cooling completely, without the ring and with an intact crust and cake and I can't be happier!

Thank you Baker's Joy! I don't praise Wally World much but in this case, I can't help it- at 3 USD a can, this is the place to get it. Thanks WalMart.

When I started using Baker's Joy, I found it worked well with Pound Cake and Yellow Cakes, not so much with White or Angelfood cakes. I use professional aluminum baking pans with all my cakes, not the retail non-stick variety. Baker's Joy, being aerosol, will tend to leave bubbles even when it works well. Using shortening and flour on pans will always leave a smooth cake.

If you are baking cakes with a lighter consistency, use shortening and flour on your pans, and they won't stick to your baking pans. For hardier baked goods like muffins, Pound Cakes, and Yellow Cakes, Baker's Joy will do in a pinch.

I liked the Pillsbury spray with flour, but I ran out and bought this instead because I didn't want to go to two stores for my shopping trip. My cakes don't stick (I use a classic, heavy Nordicware Bundt pan) but the spray comes out in clumps, heavy in some places, light in others. The nozzle gets this huge, fluffy hunk of oily flour gunk on it as you spray the pan, and it has to be cleaned off a few times in the course of spraying one Bundt pan.
Bakers Joy does what it's supposed to, but it's so messy, I'm going back to the Pillsbury product, (or I might try the Pam with flour if I can find it...)

I used this twice (so far) on a very intricately patterned bundt pan, and each time the cake released flawlessly.

This may be the best invention since sliced bread. I can't believe how well it works. I've found it works best if you spray the pan with it RIGHT before you add the batter, otherwise the flour melts and it stops working.

Why is anything that works taken out of the stores?! This product works like a charm for having Bundt cakes slide right out of the pan.
