Customer Reviews

Their pans are very heavyweight and will last forever.

Whether I would grease it or grease & flour it or pam it to death, things would stick to the tiny ridges and the whole cake was impossible to exricate.

So I researching and reading some of the same comments regarding this pan, where someone wrote about not having their receipt for warranty claim.

After having the product in my wishlist for many months, I decided to splurge and complete my purchase. The pan arrived promptly, even with Super Saver Shipping, and boy was I impressed. How best to describe this item? Heavy-duty, built to last, with a superb attention to detail. I couldn't wait to use it and immediately made a batch of rum cakes (recipe was listed on the back of the packaging). After a lengthy greasing (there is alot of surface area, with nooks and crannies everywhere), the batter was even dispersed amongst the six mini-bundts. Fifteen minutes later, the baked product was proudly pulled from the oven. Absolutely nothing stuck to the pan; quick flip and they came out perfectly. This has been one of those kitchen purchases that I thoroughly recommend to all my family and friends. And with a 20 year warranty, I expect this give me a lifetime of baking bliss.

I love all Nordicware products. Their pans are very heavyweight and will last forever. The only thing you must remember when using them is to grease them well. I grease mine with shortening and use a pastry brush to "paint" it on. Doing that I've never had any problems with sticking. Everything comes out beautifully and looks almost to pretty to eat. You will not be disappointed in this pan or any others by Nordicware.

I've had this pan for about 5 years. The first batches worked great and I bought pans for everybody, but slowly more and more bits stuck to the pan. I'm using the same cake recipe, so I can only conclude it's the pan that's changing.

I called the company, and they only offer a 5 year warranty on it (other reviews say there's a 20-year warranty, but customer service said there was a 5-year warranty), and insists that you have the original receipt for any returns. (Am I the only person in the world who doesn't keep receipts for each $30 purchase?)

I found the comments from the company customer service person inconsistent, uninformed, and sometimes rude. She said, "You have to grease the pan. The nonstick is only for easy clean up." But, the NordicWare website says "The nonstick interior ensures easy release and cleanup." (See the shared image of my greased pan -- the cleanup is not at all easy.) So I asked her what kind of fat to use, and she said "Butter will work fine." And I told her I did use butter on this batch, and then she said, "Well, then you have to use Pam or Baker's Joy." She also said that I would ruin the surface by putting it in the dishwasher, but we wash it by hand. I've never baked any cups empty, never broiled it, and never used any abrasive cleansers or metal utensils on it.

Basically, I think they offer a 5-year warranty on it because they know the surface won't longer than 5 years. (If I spray coating on *any* of my pans, they'll be 'nonstick'...) And rather than say that, the customer service person tells me to do X, Y, or Z, but then changes her story when I tell her that's what I've been doing. So, buy this pan because you like the shapes and a non-stick honeymoon, but either keep your receipt and exchange before the warranty is up, or be prepared for increased sticking and lousy customer service.

I am so sorry to say that I fell in love with this pan. I am a veteran baker, and have baked in regular bundt pans for decades with xlnt results. Trust that I know my way around a bundt! For some reason this pan worked early on. After that, everything would stick; from simple mini cinnamon bundt cakes to angel food. I always washed it by hand (which took forever after soaking) and there were no scratches. Whether I would grease it or grease & flour it or pam it to death, things would stick to the tiny ridges and the whole cake was impossible to exricate. It was a nightmare & I am extremely patient. I "stuck" with it for about 5 years. I am writing now bec I lost it with this last batch that left as much stuck to the pan as out. I didn't even bother cleaning it this time; it's in the trash. So sad too, it is just so adorable. Sorry to say something bad about Nordic Ware.

I saw these in another catalog and would have had to pay shipping and thought they were expensive until I got the product. I purshased another 6 cakes bundt with different designs. I used the cooking spray and hoped for the best. I made a banana muffin recipie, wrapped them indivudually and put a bow ribbon and gave to my clerical pool as a breakfast treat. The folk were impressed because of the detailing of the muffins and they tasted great. I loved the individual cakes and the pan was wonderful. I have bought several other designs and use them for special occasions.

I love this pan, but it never worked perfectly! I tried it twice, both times using Baker's Joy and most seem to pop out OK, but not perfect. There always seem to be something left in the pan. So I researching and reading some of the same comments regarding this pan, where someone wrote about not having their receipt for warranty claim. Well, I looked on my Amazon account for a 4 year-old receipt and sure enough, Amazon still had it on my account. I called Nordiware and they are going to exchange this one for one that has bigger individual mini cakes. We will see how well that works. Overall, I like Nordicware cake pans, but I am not that satisfied with these fancy, very detailed mini cast bundt pans.
