I bought this for my 13 year old daughter so she could try to make her mom a special cake as a surprise. And guess what, she surprised me at how well she made it all by herself. And this was her first try at baking a cake. The images above on RHS are of her cake as proof that it works well and makes a nice shaped little lamb!

This does make sweet cakes. I'm a terrible baker. When I made this cake the head actually came off even though I followed the directions! I used a tooth pick and icing to reattach it and you would never have known. We used it to make a Lamb cake at Christmas and sing happy birthday to Jesus-- it was a big hit with all the young grandkids and a sweet tradition we hope to continue each year as a reminder that Christmas is in fact to celebrate Jesus's birthday! We hope the grandkids will look forward to it each year.

I had a lot of fun making this cake. However, I was a little saddened when my poor cake decapitated itself when placed in the fridge to "chill." The other drawback that I noticed is that the lamb's body is a little bit scrawny. I was fortunate that I had also baked the excess cake batter ahead of time, so was able to add to the body of my cake. All that to say, it was a lot of work to go through for a cake that fell apart so easily. Try using less pourous cake batter. Maybe that would help.

This is just as cute as it can be and made up part of a cute centerpiece but it was hard to get the lamb out. The neck broke but we just fixed it with toothpicks!

My mom used to make lamb cakes every Easter. My sister has my mom's mold, and for years I have been looking for the same one... finally found it! Works perfect, makes cakes just like my mom used to!

This cake mold worked out perfectly! I've had trouble for years getting my old mold to work and finally broke down and purchased this new one. It has easy instructions with it and many variations on a great Easter holiday cake. My guests loved it, but not more than my grandson!

I made my first lamb cake this Easter with the Nordic lamb cake form, and I was very pleased with the result. I used a little too much batter for the form, so it opened a little and some of the batter oozed out. Yet it still filled the form nicely and the cake came out great, after I carefully cut away the excess.

I used this cake mold for Easter. It was easy to use, and the clean up was a breeze. I would recommend this product, and will probably buy the Santa mold to use for Christmas.

Made a great cake. Not a good 3D cake. You really have to use your best judgement as to how much batter to put into it. I did not put enough, so we had a 2D cake for easter LOL.

I bought this pan to use for the holidays. It was fun and easy to use!
