I bought this item at my local Kroger store at the beginning of the summer (was a couple of dollars less than what Amazon currently has it listed for) and I love it! My favorite use for it is cooking fish in the oven. A little Pam in the bottom to keep the fish from sticking, 400 degrees for about 20 minutes in the oven, and it is perfect every time. Tonight I made some sea bass, and it was amazing! I have also used it to cook vegetables on both the grill and the oven. I have not tried cooking any type of meat in it, nor have I tried the steam method, so I don't know how well it works for that. But, the pan is sturdy, easy to clean, and so far is holding up well. It's definitely one of my favorite kitchen items.

Non-stick coating is as durable as tissue paper.

I only used this once, to grill some salmon. I didn't use any metal utensils, and was gentle about placing it on the grill. When I washed it and looked at it later, it had 3-4 scratches. They weren't deep, but they were enough that they pulled the coating right off. I prefer not to have non-stick coating in my food so I had to return it.

As far as how it performed, it did really well. My fish came out perfect. You can also use this to bake in the oven and poach. Very useful little cooker. I was really bummed about the durability, it's such a great idea, just uses poor quality materials.

Do you like to cook fish on the grill? If you do, this is the best cookware for doing it. I put the fish in it, put the top on, and with the holes on the bottom it goes right on the hot grill. Have cooked salmon, cod, grouper, etc in it. 5 to 10 minutes (depending on the fish and size) and done. Perfect every time and so easy to clean up.

I don't normally fish, but my neighbor does and shares his bounty with me. Since I ideally like to use the gas grill for just about everything, I gave the interior a good coating of butter flavored Pam and sprinkled the fish with fresh herbs and lemon. Fifteen to twenty minutes later we had the best fish ever. No issues with scratching, but I used a couple of plastic coated spatulas to lift the fish out having read other reviews here before using.
I hand washed this in Dawn and it was ready for another day. Very nice and inexpensive pan that cost about $17 at a local hardware store. I think I'd like to try out some other pieces from this line for outdoor cooking.

The nonstick coating is very susceptible to scratches, so don't ever use any metal utensils, and even be wary when putting the two halves together in their various configurations. We have used it twice and have no complaints otherwise.
