Works well - I get fine 2 Egg Omelet,

This review is from: Nordic Ware Microwave Omelet Pan (Kitchen)
I bought one of these microwave omelet pans recently and found that it works well. It's made to make a two (2) egg omelet. The basic process is: crack two eggs in a pot & lightly whip. Pour the eggs evenly into each side of the pan. Microwave, then, for 30 seconds. Pull it out. Stir the eggs on each - outside to inside. Microwave for 40 seconds. Pull out and the eggs should have begun to set. Sprinkle your ingredients liberally on both sides of the eggs. Microwave for 1 1/2 minutes. Pull out. Carefully close the pan. Wait a couple of seconds. Then open it and carefully lift it from one end of the pan and let the omelet slowly slide out on to a plate (you may have to slightly shake the pan to coax it out). Voila - you have a good and hot two egg omelet - in about 10 minutes.
You should make sure, of course, that your ingredients are near the microwave for ease of use. As far as what ingredients to use : I kept it simple: shredded cheese (I used pr-shredded) bacon-bits or diced ham. I believe the omelet can handle about four (4) different ingredients. If you want a flourish - you can put garnish on top. It's a great meal for one person with toast and juice on the side. If you got a family to feed you may have to either let everyone get served separately or keep the omelets, as you make them, warm in an oven until you've made the enough for everybody so all can be served at the same time. Clean-up should be with dish washing liquid, a soft cloth or a sponge. Do NOT use anything abrasive as that will destroy the non-stick surface and turn the omelet pan into a piece of plastic junk.

Was very skeptical of a 6 dollar plastic omelet maker... When I opened the package and saw the plastic hinges and it was a little stiff. I sprayed a little cooking spray on them and they moved much more freely.
After my 1st use I was pleasantly surprised. Wish I had taken a picture. Followed the directions from the previous review (for the most part) and the results were very good! My microwave is pretty strong, so I cut the times just a little as I watched it cook. We all know microwaves vary so I am not telling you anything new... I obviously cleaned it before use with mild soap and water... Then used cooking spray before adding the eggs. If you don't use cooking spray you may have negative results. Another thing that I have noticed with other plastic microwave devices (and this one is likely the same) is that you should NEVER scratch the plastic surface. Don't use metal utensils or scrubby sponges to clean. If you just wash it gently with a sponge and some soap you it will not stick... Of course this omelet will not taste like one cooked in a skillet using butter, but think of all the calories and time you will save. God bless and I hope you have the same results.

This was a great idea to buy! I got it for my daughter who isnt quite old enough to cook on the stove but is sick of cereal every morning. So we mix eggs the night before and put then in the fridge. She sprays the pan with Pam, pours the egg in and cooks for about 1.5 mins. then adds meat and cheese and cooks again for 30-45 seconds. Shes 9 so making an omlet for her is a big deal and she loves it!
