1.0 out of 5 stars Impossible to clean
I thought the rack was non-stick - wrong. After three or four uses the rack started to discolor (white patches); also, no amount of scrubbing could get the baked-on grease off the surfaces, both top and bottom. After struggling with it for about a month, I got disgusted and threw it out.

1.0 out of 5 stars It's true: this non-stick pan is not what it pretends to be., March 20, 2005

This product is a disgrace. Nonstick is not one of its virtues, and those who are thinking of purchasing this waste of money should be forewarned. It is not even well designed for broiling with small openings for fat drainage that quickly clog up. I am honestly surprised that Amazon would allow such an unworthy product to be sold under its banner.

This is one sorry pan. Seems you can't ever get it clean. Nothing comes off. Throwing it out. Only reason I gave it 1 star is that the size was what I wanted. Correct that, the size IS what I want. I owned a similar item previously, and it worked for years without caking up with gunk, but I don't know the brand. If anyone out there has a good one I'd like to hear about it.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not the best, but..., November 4, 2006

I bought one of these a couple of years ago and I'm buying a new one. It isn't as non-stick as it should be and it isn't all that easy to clean. But it's small and a heck of a lot easier to clean than those monstrosities that come with most stoves. Yes, it could have more drainage holes, but the deep groves help keep fat from the food. All in all, this is a fair product.

5.0 out of 5 stars Small broiler pan, March 22, 2007
This review is from: Nordic Ware Nonstick Broiler Pan Set (Kitchen)
We were looking for a broiler pan a) small enough to soak in the sink and b) easy to clean. This product is both, although I cannot quite get the top half to lie flat in the bottom of our sink. That is a moot point, though, because nothing has stuck to it so far... Materials and construction are top of the line. The bottom half is also non-stick and can be used as a shallow baking pan. We are very pleased with this pan and wish we had known about it earlier.

2.0 out of 5 stars So disappointed..., January 22, 2012

Bought this a year or so ago after searching "high and low" for a CLEANABLE small broiler pan. Thought I had found it! After a dozen times used? Now impossible to clean off burnt areas, with the "white" fading as noticed by others a short while thereafter. What a disappointment! I have YET to find the broiler pan that is truly cleanable with little or no effort...This one? Well, I can leave for 48 hours in a sink with cold water and the very strong Dawn detergent? NOTHING budges off of it, even with a scrub! I give up! I continue to buy one, use it a year and toss it in the recycle...Seriously a problem!

1.0 out of 5 stars Horrible to clean; the non nonstick pan, January 11, 2012
This review is from: Nordic Ware Nonstick Broiler Pan Set (Kitchen)
I thought this broiler pan was nonstick; it is absolutely one of the worst broiler pans to clean I have ever owned. No matter how much we scrub, it doesn't come clean. I have used it for steak and salmon approximately 7 times and it so difficult to clean that I am going to throw it away. It is a false and outrageous claim that it is nonstick. Nothing could be further from the truth. A total waste of money. Don't buy this!!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Love Love Love It!!!, May 18, 2011

After many many years of broiling on the large pan that come with the range, I finally had a thought that there must be something smaller out there. I bought this set at Wal-mart for $15.97. There are only two of us and this size is PERFECT!! The non-stick quality is excellent, cleans up quickly - nothing sticks. The last time it was used it did not get washed right away [I had to go out and hubby just left it in the sink ;( ] so it did take more effort to get it spotless. Someone posted about the drain holes clogging; has not happened to me. I've cooked steaks and chicken with no problems with the fat drainage. I have not had any of the problems that other reviewers have posted. The description on Wal-mart states the drip pan can be used as a cake pan which I have not tried but it is possible. Another reviewer liked the fact that it is dishwasher safe (which I did not know) but I have never put a broiler pan in the dishwasher, I hand wash right after using. I highly recommend this broiler pan.

NOTE: I was reading more on this item at a few more sites and amazon is the only one that describes it as dishwasher safe. I pulled out the packaging and it states "Not recommended for dishwasher". And it does have a 10 yr warranty. (this is also posted as a comment to this review)

1.0 out of 5 stars Nonstick properties - or rather lack thereof, January 10, 2009

I liked this pan because it was a good size for two people. However, I did not like it's nonstick properties, or rather lack thereof. I had to soak and scrub, and soak and scrub, every time I used it and it was still dirty! So, I've been hating it, but trying not to throw it away. The pan underneath had some kind coating that been slowly peeling off. I'm glad I don't use that for cooking. Finally I cooked a meal that I could not get off and that was that, into the trash it went.
