This is the most beautiful cake pan I have ever used. I was really impressed by the outstanding contours of this cake. The recipe on the flyer was used - I substituted cake flour for the flour, used plain spray oil (no flour) on the pan, added the yellow food coloring suggested along with the lemon juice and zest, and melted chocolate chips to a little of the batter for the center. No trouble whatsoever in releasing it. Couldn't believe how easy it was to make such a luxurious presentation.

I love this pan. The material is sturdy, and the sunflower design is the most beautiful decorated pan I have ever seen. I use "baker's joy" to grease and dust the pan, and the cake always comes out easily and perfect. Just make sure you use a recipe that is good enough for the appearance of this cake, so that you don't need any frosting.
I just wish it was less expensive, I would buy more pans to make gifts.

I saw the lovely design of the pan and I HAD to buy it. I love to bake and I like to present my creations as well as possible, this pan makes this task a breeze. If you just use a plain recipe it will look awesome when it comes out of this pan, every detail comes out perfect, it is almost too beautiful to cut (that is actually what happened with the first cake: mum didn't dare cut it). It is really sturdy and made to last a lifetime, so I guess it is worth its price, even if I wish the Nordic Ware pans could be cheaper, so that I could buy the entire collection!

I have been wanting one of these pans ever since I saw them in the store. My husband surprised me with one for Christmas and it is great! I used a tasty pound cake recipe and it turned out perfectly. I was nervous about releasing it from the pan after baking, but it came out so easily. I did spray the pan and put flour on it before baking. Since it came out without any effort, I think I might actually eliminate the flour next time so it looks even prettier. I plan on buying more of these for gifts and I also would love to add more to my new found collection! These pans are fantastic!

This design is one of the first floral pans Nordic Ware created. With very little effort it looks like great effort is taken. Perfect for use during Spring and Easter. It looks particularly nice made with a yellow cake with the center portion covered with chocolate icing with large chocolate chips (representing the sunflower seeds) pressed into the frosted middle. Pan preparation is the most important step so take a few minutes and do it right. Spray liberally with a cooking spray that contains flour like Bakers Joy then turn the pan upside down on a paper towel to drain out the excess. The another vital step is, once the cake is finished baking, let it cool upright in the pan 10-15 minutes (no shorter or longer) before turning the cake out onto a plate. Lastly, if you want the detail to really pop, use a light cake (yellow, white, spice, etc.) with a very thick batter -- there are many bundt cake recipes on the internet. If you use a cake mix without altering it for the bundt pan, some detail will be lost - so check for cake mix adaptations on the internet.

This is a gorgeous pan and cake comes out easily. The BIG drawback is that because of this pan's size, cake tends to overcook on the edges before the center is done. So you end up with very dry dry edges if you want the cake fully cooked. Not so gorgeous....

This is a fabulous cake pan. It is heavy and durable. The nonstick coating allowed me to just spray with oil, and the pound cake I made came out easily and looked beautiful. It makes an absolutely gorgeous presentation. If you like to bake, buy this pan!

I have a confession to make: I love this pan. This sunflower pan will take any Bundt-based batter and produce a lovely cake that's impressive without being fussy. You may need to occasionally take a toothpick to the "seeds" at the very top of the cake to add a little definition, if you're overly generous when greasing and flouring the pan. My personal favorite recipe for this pan is an applesauce spice cake, with a spice glaze.

I've had the sunflower pan for a good four years now, and no matter what I do to it, there isn't a scratch on the pan, inside or out. This is a heavy, solid Bundt pan: it won't bend or warp, and I've dropped it on the floor a time or two with no ill effects.

This pan can be a little tedious to clean, but soaking the inside with warm soapy water will loosen any cake debris.

the shipping took a little longer than expected. I recieved it just in time for christmas and it was in PERFECT shape!

I got this for my mom for mother's day. She loved it! Great quality and looked great!
