Is roomy enough for 9x13 cakes, the lid locks tight, and is also great for locking in the freshness of vegetables if you want to use it as a relish tray. As long as you're not transporting the relish tray from one location to another, however, as the veggies get mixed up and fly all over the place. But the see-through lid allows display of cakes.

Awesome! Light weight and keeps the cake moist and delicious. I also have the round cake keeper and it too is wonderful. With arthritis in my hands, I am able to lift the cake, while in the container, because it is so light and I love the way it keeps the cake perfect. The glass cake pedestals are nice and the glass lids are so heavy. This is the first time I can actually carry the cake in its container. Also, both lock the lids in place - wonderful. PLus the 9x13 can also carry cupcakes or a cake. Great idea!!

i was extrememly pleased with the product. however the first wk i had it the lid fell and broke into many pcs. i wonder if the lid can be replaced.

I am not real impressed with this item. Frankly, I wish I could have found a comparable product with Tupperware. It looks pretty but that's about it. The handle on the top is inverted and will cut into the top of your cake or food and you won't be able to close it and latch it. The handle should be on the outside. I made a sheet cake, decorated it, and then tried to put the top on it and the top would not fit. If you make a sheet cake, be sure to cut off the top and level it or it won't fit. Also, it already has a hairline crack in the base. I washed it in warm water by hand before and after use.

I ordered the cake keeper because I have two rectangular NordicWare cake pans, and wanted to display / keep the cakes in something special. Am a little disappointed in the keeper--it seems to be made of a rather brittle plastic. The locking mechanism seems cheap. Time will tell....

This cake protector is the greatest thing I've seen! I use it for cakes made from 11x13's or even 7x9 stacked..

I don't recommend this product at all. When it arrived, it was broken and the two sliding locks that hold the top and bottom together, were laying loose in the box. I returned the item for replacement and received another within a short time. This one also had the sliding locks loose in the box. There is no way you can keep the plastic sliding locks in their proper place. This is a poorly designed product.

I REALLY wanted to like this product despite other reviews, especially since it is made in the USA and I am trying really hard to buy American made. It arrived cracked, chipped and broken. Needless to say, I am returning it.

I received my cake carrier on December 15, 2011. I have used the carrier once and was very happy with the looks of it and it did keep my cake very moist. When I was washing the bottom piece of the carrier,Nordic Ware Rectangular Cake Keeper, 9 by 13 Inch I noticed a small crack in the bottom center where it has a small plastic dot. The carrier was not abused in any manner so I was very disappointed to find a flaw when I have only had it less than a month.
