Nice Wintery Pattern
I bought this pan for the cute pattern on it to brighten up a dull, boring winter. I have made a few chocolate cakes in it and sprinkled powder sugar on the top to enhance the snowflakes. It bakes well, the cake comes out really easy and looks nice with the snowflakes. One thing that would be good is if there was a plastic insert/cover to put over this to fit over the...

CUTE BUT DIFFICULT
This cake pan is very very cute. Just be sure to use a lot of shortening on the bottom of the pan and get it into every crevice so that the snowflakes don't come apart. Also, I used a dark chocolate cake mix. The snowflakes came out great this time (because I spread the shortening better), but it's difficult to see them because the cake is all the same color. This cake pan is very very cute. Just be sure to use a lot of shortening on the bottom of the pan and get it into every crevice so that the snowflakes don't come apart. Also, I used a dark chocolate cake mix. The snowflakes came out great this time (because I spread the shortening better), but it's difficult to see them because the cake is all the same color. I tried the recommendation of dusting powdered sugar over the snowflakes but it was still difficult to see the snowflakes. I've never been a great baker so I hope you can do this better than me. :-) Have fun and happy holidays!

One thing that would be good is if there was a plastic insert/cover to put over this to fit over the snowflakes then be able to frost the snowflakes white. I have a few nordic ware pans and they all bake well and cakes come on easy. This item came quickly and packaged well.
