Since I'm a TOTAL Nordiware cake pan junkie, I bought this pan to use for Memorial Day this year and am I ever glad I did! The cake came out gorgeous - Wilton makes a sparkle icing gel tube in both blue and red and well, when you highlight the stars on this cake with those, it's just breathtaking. It's a fabulous way to celebrate our American patriotic holidays and did I ever receive the compliments! Great pan, came out easily with Wilton's Cake Release, highly, highly recommend!

The pan works like a charm. Use Crisco vegetable shortening and a pastry brush to cover all of the fine details of the pan. Use flour if the recipe calls for it. ( the recipe included with the pan is great ) The cake did not stick, and clean up was easy, just hot, soapy water. If you have any residue left in the pan, you can fold a paper towel and use a toothpick to get in the tight places. ( the paper towel prevents the toothpick from scratching the pan, be sure to fold it ) If you are going to stack the pan with another pan, try putting wax paper or paper towels between them when storing to prevent scratches. I followed the advice in another review and highlighted the stars in red and blue.
