The detail was good on the finished product and the inclosed recipe worked well but it was very disappointing that I had to essentially bake three times because each side of this plate has different sides to the house that cannot be baked simultaneously.
The buyer should be told this ahead of time so that buying another one or two could be an option.

We have had this mold for a few years and enjoy using it at Christmas. It hangs on the wall in the kitchen the rest of the year - it is too pretty to stash in a cupboard. Make sure to allow enough drying time after assembly before transporting the gingerbread house, at least overnight. The recipes included work well. I purchase a large plastic platter from the dollar store and use the icing to anchor the gingerbread house to it for a really solid base. That way if I don't get the plate back, it's no big deal.

A solid double-sided metal pan (I don't want to know what Amazon pays to mail these!) that does what it advertises. Just be aware that the picture shown is mildly deceptive - you are getting one pan that has patterns on BOTH sides which means more than a few trips in and out of the oven.

Still, this looks like it will last for years and years, no doubt becoming a family heirloom if you make using it a tradition like we hope to.

This is a very nice item to have as a holiday tradition. I suggest using the pan as a mold and bake the pieces on a cookie sheet. That way you don't have to bake three times. It works great that way and then if you want one or two extra pieces for an extra wall etc. you have that freedom.

We were sick of buying those cheap $6 kits that were stale before you got them. We bought this gingerbread house mold and made our own house. The decorated house was a (requested) gift for a six-year-old boy. He LOVED IT! And the best part...we can make our own whenever we want to. LOVE THIS MOLD!

Fun product and it worked like it should. Easy to use and to clean up - very important!

This makes a nice gingerbread house - larger than the ones we make from stones - but it takes time to cool between bakings and it requires 3 separate bakings to make 1 house so it takes a bit of time. We usually make several houses and so it is a long process - make your gingerbread ahead of time and refrigerate and then plan on spending a few hours for each complete house. Comes out of pan nicely and gives great details.

This mold makes beautiful gingerbread houses. The non stick surface is great, you can use Pam instead of shortning, works fine. We made 26 houses and only one wall stuck. One house requires three sides, so if you only have one mold, it will require baking three times, no big deal because clean up in between is easy. Very high quality cast aluminum, I'll pass on to my kids.

I had one of these pans years ago (before my ex stole it!). I loved it, and I'm so excited to have found a replacement! The mold is very well-made, easy to clean, and I've never had a single piece stick.
