I have been using Norelco shavers for over 50 years, and I have been using the 8140XL for over 2 years. From the "git-go" this shaver has not been up to the Norelco standard. It runs very slow - especially for having 3 sets of blades - and they don't cut very good. It takes me over 5 minutes every morning to shave and then I'm not sure I have a close shave. Prior to this shaver I had a model 5841XL (single cutting blades)and it was much better. I could get a close shave in about 4 minutes. I would think with 2 mores sets of blades I would get a faster and closer shave with the 8140XL.
