The good and the bad of the Norelco Arctic,
By dovidal "dovidal" (New England) - See all my reviews

I've owned this Norelco shaver for one year. It does have a wonderful flexible head and will give a very close shave if used daily. I'm retired and shave approx 3 times per week. If growth is longer than 2 days you must augment with a non electric shaver in the shower. I am going to retire this unit and move on. The major problem is the design does not allow for a lot of beard to be retained in the head thus I end up with hair over my upper torso because of limted capacity. This inspite of washing after every use.

This review is from: Norelco 1050X Norelco Arcitec Rechargeable Cordless Corded Razor
According to hubby this is the easiest to clean electric razor he has ever owned. The head flips up to empty clippings and he very rarely does more than tap it on the sink and set it back on the charger...none of that self-cleaning mess with expensive refill liquid to buy. While in military training he would use it multiple times a day to keep a clean-shaven look. The limitations are that it will only shave about one days worth of growth (which is not a problem for those who must shave daily) but that is true of most electric razors. If he has let things go more than a few days he prefers to use a handheld razor anyway but this one is great when he is in a hurry and needs to clean up quickly.
