This razor is perefect, because it shaves well and is good for sensitive skin since it can be used with shaving lotions.
Even if you run out of the lotion packets that go in the razor, you can still use other lotions as you would with a manual razor.
Since it is wet/dry you can save time by shaving in the shower too. I have tried several razors and this one is the best for sensitive skin, I shave my head with it too and it hardly even irritates my skin then either. Of course, your skin may be different than mine. I bought one four years ago and it still works fine, so the quality is certainly solid.
I can't say how it compares to other models however. I can't imagine anything that could be much better.

Not even close!, December 24, 2004
This review is from: Mens Electric Razor (Electronics)
Having read the glowing reviews from others I was anxious to receive this shaver. When it finally arrived I made sure to charge it up (takes a long time initially 6-8 hrs.) then finally tried it on a 2 day stubble. Well, I wasn't impressed with the shave, it was irritating, uncomfortable, and the gel dispensing gadget was awkward to use. I decided to give this unit the benefit of the doubt because it does state to give it at least 3 weeks for your skin to grow accustom to shaving by this method.
Well, here I am 3 weeks later and I'm still not impressed with the shave. I particularly get skin iritation along my neck (burns quite a bit) and it's hard to taper shave near side burns. I've also tried different methods of shaving from: in the shower, over the sink, pre-wash and lubricate with skin lubrication lotion, and just flat out dry shave (very uncomfortable!). Another minus is the charge does not last very long, the shaver peters out after about 2 shaves of about 5-8 minutes (maybe I have a faulty battery?..) I end up having to charge it often.
I now decided to go back to using a Braun shaver, which I should have purchased in the first place! My previous one was very good, but i decided to give Norleco a chance...oh well, I guess I'll just have to give it to my nephew - he thinks it looks cool, and he just started shaving!
Pros:
Ummm...it looks cool
Cons:
-Terrible shave
-weak charge
-lift and cut system is not effective
-very irritating along neck area
-takes long to fully charge
-lubricating feature very awkward to use and can get expensive
-cleaning is tedious
In my opinion go with a foil system instead like a Braun, Panasonic, or even Remington. This system is much more effective and although primarily expensive, it will more than make up for the price in a closer shave and not having to buy lubricating lotion, shaving cream and razor blades.

An excellant wet/dry razor, January 18, 2004
This review is from: Mens Electric Razor (Electronics)
The Norelco 6705x is the best norelco I've had yet! I have been a Norelco man for many years and they have always performed well.
This model though blows the other electric razors away!
The wet/dry feature is great but with the lotion feature this is the bomb in the shower or not in the shower.
I used to use my old norelco only when it wasn't hot or humid out, due to the usual razor burn and irratation you get with elcetric razors.
Now with this norelco I never have this problem and I can shave with it everyday or even twice to get rid or that 5 o'clock shadow if I'm going out later.
If you are looking to buy a wet/dry elecrtic razor THIS IS THE ONE! you won't be disappointed and your skin will love you for it. Try it you'll be glad you did!
