This china is absolutely beautiful! And the price was even better. It arrived quickly and not one piece was damaged. Very pleased with the whole shopping experience.

I bought this set eyes closed since it is Noritake; you cannot go wrong with this brand. I had my reserves about packing and shipping. Item arrived in time, I bought two sets and only got two broken soup bowls. I guess it cannot be avoided when shipping china. Packing was good enough, I have no complaints, I really feel the broken pieces were part of the risk, and I accepted the risk given the price. Even replacing these two soup bowls the deal is excellent.

Now on the china, the dishes and pieces are perfectly finished, all white with no stains or irregularities, it does reflect a quality product, it feels and weights the way it is supposed to. The platinum border is very elegant and classy, not overdone.

This is truly a very nice and distinguished set, buy eyes closed.

My fiance and I added this item to our wedding registry. It arrived with a few broken soup bowls. In reading other reviews below I see several others have had the same issue with the soup bowls, so this is clearly a packaging issue that needs to be addressed.

Customer service is great, but I'd rather just receive the set and be done with it. Since there is a known issue with the packaging, not sure why Noritake or Amazon wouldn't just address it, rather than keep sending out items that will inevitably be damaged.

With regard to the china itself - the set is beautiful, elegant and timeless. The pieces are not as delicate as other brands, but perhaps that means we don't have to be afraid of using this china often. The company indicates these have been tested and found to be dishwasher-safe, which is an added bonus.

The dishes are beautiful, well priced, and dishwasher safe. They are beautiful enough for formal dinners and practical enough to use everyday. The packaging was not great - we had one broken bowl. But, Amazon customer service took care of it without any hassle whatsoever. Once I let them know that the replacement bowl is available as an individual item through Amazon, they credited my account for the replacement item. I could not be happier with the dishes and the customer service experience!

The Noritake China Set is just whated. It is well made and durable. The nice thing about the 50 piece set is that you get the soup/salad bowls which is not included in the place setting. Overall, it is a good value for the $$$$.

When we decorated to a classic 1930's look, this style was perfect. The classic style was the perfect fit. Of course the quality is excellent. The price and quick delivery still amaze me.

I did not register for China when my husband and I got married, and knew I'd want to have a nice set eventually. I saw this set at a local department store, and just happened to check for it on Amazon. What an amazing deal! I received it as a Christmas gift and only had two issues--one saucer was broken, another chipped. It seems they've fixed the soup bowl issue.

All in all, this was a WONDERFUL buy for the price and I feel so fortunate to have it. It's exactly what I wanted and great quality. Someone below said Noritake has dishwasher tested these pieces...I'll be reading more about that to find out of it's true.

Received this item and was totally pleased with what we got! Couldn't believe how pretty the china was and the awesome price!!!! I have looked at several china patterns and loved the look of this one. I have seen 5 piece place settings, even similar Noritake patterns, for near the same price as this entire set. I bought this set for someone else but am going to get myself a set too.
