5.0 out of 5 stars A very useful resource, July 12, 2005
This review is from: Norman L. Geisler Apologetics Library on CD-ROM, The (CD-ROM)
Dr. Geisler is a first-rate, and for those who find his work to be useful in ministry or study, this tool will be very helpful. I use it on my laptop so I don't need to haul hard-copy books with me when I'm studying at work or school.

Of course, not everyone agrees with Dr. Geisler's views, and I don't agree with EVERYTHING he writes. But much of it is on-point, and he takes great effort to give an apologetic for all of his ideas, so that at least one can understand HOW he arrives at his conclusions, even if one doesn't have the same conclusions. In short, this is a very helpful tool for apologists of all degrees, and I highly recommend it. (obviously)

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic Value!, July 15, 2007
This review is from: Norman L. Geisler Apologetics Library on CD-ROM, The (CD-ROM)
This CD-ROM includes 10 of Norman Geisler's books, and is a great value for the price. The Baker Encyclopedia of Apologetics is over $30 on its own. Here's a list of the included book titles: (With my opinions of the one's I've read so far)
- Answering Islam: The Crescent in Light of the Cross (Quite good, used as one of the textbooks for a seminary class I took on Islam)
- Christian Apologetics
- Come Let Us Reason: An Introduction to Logical Thinking (Essentially a primer on formal logic; not an "easy read" for me since I have no prior formal training in philosophy, but I'm enjoying it nonetheless.)
- Baker Encyclopedia of Christian Apologetics (Fantastic resource for when you want "just the facts".)
- Introduction to Philosophy: A Christian Perspective
- Miracles and the Modern Mind: A Defense of Biblical Miracles
- Roman Catholics and Evangelicals: Agreements and Differences
- When Critics Ask: A Popular Handbook of Bible Difficulties (Excellent reference book for supposed problems/contradictions in the biblical text, sorted by biblical book. Geisler IMHO sometimes overstates his conclusions but it's useful nonetheless.)
- When Cultists Ask: A Popular Handbook on Cultic Misinterpretations
- When Skeptics Ask: A Handbook on Christian Evidences
- Worlds Apart: A Handbook on World Views
- Why I Am a Christian: Leading Thinkers Explain Why They Believe

Also, with the electronic versions you are able to search, and copy and paste quotations easily. One nice feature is that the included (mandatory) reading software automatically includes a citation when you copy and paste, ex. "Geisler, N. L., & Brooks, R. M. (1990). Come, let us reason ...[etc]"

So you get a lot of material for the money, and I had no trouble installing and running the program ("Libronix Digital Library"). While I don't agree with everything Dr. Geisler says (he sometimes is rather harsh on other Christians who differ from his views on peripheral issues) he has contributed much to Christian thought and the resources included here would be a welcome addition to a Christian's library.

One odd note: Amazon's "Book Description" above seems to be describing a different book. I have not yet read all the included material, but none AFAIK deals with "extraordinary medical benefits [that] are available to those who follow the Bible's teachings". If anyone from Amazon is reading this, please fix the description!

5.0 out of 5 stars TOP NOTCH RESOURCE, May 30, 2006
This review is from: Norman L. Geisler Apologetics Library on CD-ROM, The (CD-ROM)
I used this program daily while in Bible College. I plan to continue to do so in GRAD School. Much cheaper than buying the actual hard copies of each book, as well as much easier to quote from.

Easy to use, and packed full of great info...BUY THIS!!

I am very satisfied with this product. I am a very serious Christian & this information in my opinion, is a needed source for serious study in Apologetic Theology & the understanding of being a follower of Christ!!! I highly reccomend this to anyone who wants to study scripture thoroughly & accurately! Part of my ministry is passing on information about the only truth, The Bible, I have purchased copies of this CD for other people because it affected my own study so deeply!
