5.0 out of 5 stars Another awesome set by Christopher Titus
This is the full uncut version shown on Showtime heard here. Not sure why no DVDs have been made yet, but CDs will have to do for now. If you feel like you've heard it before, you have. I'm a big fan of Titus and this material will make you a fan. The bits titled "Last Girlfriend," "Bon Fire," and "Last Husband" are the greatest. A great line from Titus in this...

3.0 out of 5 stars Funny but not much different.
This is a great cd, and Titus is hilarious, but there are a good chunk of jokes repeated from his last album. But I overall enjoy it and it never gets old for me.

A great line from Titus in this special is when he says, "You better lighten the **** up, because we're going a lot further than that tonight." Well said, Christopher. What I love about Christopher is how he's able to deal with such tragedy and shock with his humor.

Another hit for Christopher Titus! If you have a sense of humor or a messed up family, or survived a bad relationship, you have to listen to Christopher Titus! The only thing that would be better would be the DVD!

5.0 out of 5 stars WHY is this not on DVD?, August 8, 2008
This review is from: Norman Rockwell Is Bleeding (Audio CD)
This is, hands down, one of the most powerful comedic performances ever. I was never a fan of the sitcom that this spawned, but Christopher Titus has my respect nonetheless.

I have been watching the same burned, reproduced, scratched, crapped out copy of this performance for FAR too long...I will purchase the audio copy, because I can see it all in my head, but for the person hearing it for the first time, so much is lost in not seeing Titus' facial expressions! Amazing timing, amazing personality, fantastic performance.
I can say this, which I have said many times in jest, in all seriousness: I laughed, I cried, it became a part of me.
Well done, indeed.

We need a DVD. Now.

Christopher Titus is one of the funniest comedians of all time!! The only problem I have with this CD is that they haven't released this comedy special on DVD. It is sooo funny, you will think you're going to die from laughing so hard!! Titus is way too under appreciated and I want to let everyone know just how funny he is, if you hear one of his comedy specials, you will be begging for more!!

Titus is incredible at times. This is a worthwhile collection of material. Skip over a few cringe-worthy sections of failed bits (like 'whitey' apologizing for everything and not being funny) and laugh out loud over the stories from childhood and parenthood. A toddler going down the driveway is frightening but hilarious, definitely what this kind of comedy is about.

This is one of the funniest comedy albums I've ever heard. If you've seen the comedy special this is a great capture, albeit audio only (doesn't loose much without the video).

5.0 out of 5 stars The new George Carlin; AnAmerican Prophet, April 29, 2009

Christopher Titus first caught my eye on the Comedy Network. He was able to take real life situations and laugh at them. I don't believe I've been this moved since I heard Mitch Hedburg, Lewis Black or Shelley Berman. So I began by purchasing Love Is Evol and laughed, laughed laughed as he spoke about truth but put it into perspective.

This recording marks a maturity that we've seen hints of during his solo moments on his FOX Television show. "Norman Rockwell Is Bleeding" is a brilliant title but only because we all know-and certainly Mr.Titus, that Rockwell, along with America, has always been bleeding. There's never been a time in history when children weren't abused; when adults with unmeasurable I.Q's didn't exist (God forbid she was a woman) who tripped over the line of sanity and insanity. The fact is that Mr. Titus makes us aware that we ALL step over this line, day after day. He does it by talking about himself and his own life, but we've all been there and done that. Mr.Titus gotg drunk and passed out in a bon fire; I got drunk and carried someone's clothing home after a quick run down a clothesline. I too had my fair shakedowns by my drunken father, my grandfather was a famous chemist who set the house and property on fire more than three times. Christopher Titus could tell these stories a LOT better than I because he's at peace with it all. He doesn't seem to carry the painful baggage of his mother's suicide or her multiple jailings. His father, a horny beer drinking man who lets nature teach his children, is almost endearing, though thankfully we never told the old man to go to hell. It's clear that he chose a string of unhealthy relationships, but we get the great image of her Fergammos sailing across the street.
Christophr Titus is a skilled actor and comic; and an even finer writer. By making us laugh at the dysfunctional family in which he grew up, he makes us laugh about our own; aqnd sometimes even together with our family.

Mr. Titus, I can't wait to hear your Carnegie Hall performance.

Great audio version of the stand up routine. Nice production values, if you haven't seen the show, still understand it without the visual gestures. Nice. The only problem is the bit of cussing, can't listen to it around little kids, without Benadryl.
