About the Author
Norman Rockwell (1894-1978) was a twentieth-century American painter known for his illustrations of everyday life. He created his most famous images for the Saturday Evening Post magazine, including Rosie the Riveter, Saying Grace, and the Four Freedoms series. The Norman Rockwell Museum holds more than 574 original paintings and drawings by the artist; it is located in Stockbridge, Massachusetts, where Rockwell spent the last twenty-five years of his life.

I was giving this item as a gift and never actually saw it at all. I heard from the mother of the little girls for whom I purchased the calendar, that they greatly appreciated it and enjoyed it immensely, so I would have to say that it was a success.

The calendar scene was of a snowy town street with mountains in the background. I assume the pictures behind the windows were Rockwell's pictures in miniature...I gave it as a Christmas gift so I didn't open the windows. Very neat.
