I bought this lamp for its size and energy saving LED's. The size is perfect for my very small desk, and I like the adjustable gooseneck. However, even at this price point I expected the bulbs to last more than a month before they started going out, and there doesn't appear to be any way to replace them as they are part of a single piece circuit board. Now I've got to buy a new lamp, as over half the bulbs are out and the remaining light is worthless.

I really liked this little lamp for late night reading. That is until I adjusted the lamp head position and it fell right off. This after very little use.

I've owned this lamp for about two years and have not experienced any of the problems described by others. The light is bright, although it is better for task lighting, rather than illuminating a whole desk.

So it's a nice compact light. I chose it specifically for the moveable head and the LEDs I would think would probably never go bad (or last so long I wouldn't care). Other lamps all seem to have special replacement bulbs. My only problem with it is the visible light cast from the LEDs isn't exactly white or a soft white. It is tinted ever so slightly green not quite white. If it was a whiter light, I'd have given it 5 stars.

I BOUGHT TWO OF THESE LAMPS. I LOVE THEM. THEY ARE PERFECT LAMPS FOR MY BEDROOM. I AM NOT HAVING ANY TROUBLE WITH THEM AT ALL. VERY SLEEK LOOKING.

This little light was exactly what I wanted to shed light directly on my keyboard during the dark hours. Not in the way, etc. However, the little LED bulbs started flickering after couple of months and started dying one-by-one within a week. Finally, the remainling little bulbs flashed on and off. Of course, I had to dispose of it long before I ever expected to. For what it cost, this was unacceptable. I will likely replace it with a unit that uses a simple bulb. I am generous giving two stars...

This lamp is not as good as a halogen desk lamp--it's just not that bright. Its ok for a darker room, or if your desk is in a corner, away from the main lighting. But it's not likely to light up your entire work area. I'll hang onto it for when my kid gets a desk--the LEDs don't get hot like a typical bulb.

This is a nice light, neither very heavy nor bright, and so far, no problems after three months or so; it fits my needs well as an accent piece for a infrequently used modern desk; do not buy it if you want a heavy duty source of bright light, as for a working desk

I have a very crowded desk with two monitors, a printer, etc. and was looking for a desk lamp that would not take up much room. It also had to be adjustable and be easy on the eyes while reading. Ordinary desk lamps I tried were very illuminating, but harsh and caused eye strain even on low setting. I started researching natural spectrum lighting and figured on spending on the high side to get what I needed. Three of the Verilux Natural Lamps were tested as an option. Their Troika' Natural Spectrum LED Desk Lamp was the only option I would consider as the others were too bulky and cheap looking. The problem I had with this one was the reflection of light on my monitors which was annoying.

Then I found this lamp at Staples. It fit all my requirements except being offered in black. It gives off a soft light which does not strain my eyes even after several hours - better than the Verilux lamps in my opinion. I do have ceiling lighting, so if you are depending only on this lamp for light, you may find it does not offer the needed lumens you may require. The neck is flexible which allows you to bend it into proper position for reading. The glare on screen from this unit is minimal and not distracting.

I have used this lamp for over a year and realize at some point the bulb is going to burn out and there is no replacement. But at this price, I'm okay with that. If I can get 3 - 4 years out of it, great. I would definitely purchase another one.

I've been using this lamp daily in my office for a month & I'm very pleased with it. It is constructed solidly, the switch works well, the light is adequate, & it doesn't throw off a lot of heat. The flex neck is terrific, but I wish it were a bit bigger.
