5.0 out of 5 stars Pasta Drying Made Easy!
The Norpro Pasta rack is great! What I like most about the drying rack is its easy to assemble, use and put away. Before I had to lay the pasta to dry on the counter, which in my kitchen is limited. Now it hangs nicely on the rack, leaving room to prepare the rest of the meal as the pasta drys.

2.0 out of 5 stars I replaced it :-(
The dowels did not fit firmly in the holes, so that they would slide when I was taking pasta on and off. Also, it does not store well, if one takes the dowels out, you need a rubber band or something to attach them to the post so you don't loose them. I'm afraid I got rid of it and replaced it with one of the ones where all the (plastic) arms spiral out, and the tripod...

5.0 out of 5 stars Simple design, but very effective, March 18, 2006

I love this pasta rack! Before I bought this pasta rack, I was forced to dry my pasta on the counter. I would sprinkle the counter with flour and then begin the layering of the pasta, the towels and the flour. In other words, it was a big mess. But now, since I bought the Norpro Pasta Drying Rack, pasta drying is a cinch and very easy to clean up. As soon as I roll out and cut the pasta dough, I simply drape it over the wooden dowels to dry. No flour, no towels, no mess. I usually make two lbs of pasta and have never run out of room on the rack. I know that the design is very simple and the wood is not the strongest on the market, but it really serves its purpose and serves it well.

This is a great pasta drying rack! I have limited counter space, so I got one of these to help and it works SO nice! It's easy to set up, easy to use, easy to store - I don't have a bad thing to say about it. Highly recommend!

4.0 out of 5 stars Convenient, January 15, 2006

This pasta drier is very convenient, but be warned that it is only big enough to hold about 4-6 servings of spaghetti. One thing I love about this drier is that it comes apart very easily with no tools and can be stored in a drawer.

Don't make your spaghetti too long or it will hang onto the counter.

The dowels did not fit firmly in the holes, so that they would slide when I was taking pasta on and off. Also, it does not store well, if one takes the dowels out, you need a rubber band or something to attach them to the post so you don't loose them. I'm afraid I got rid of it and replaced it with one of the ones where all the (plastic) arms spiral out, and the tripod feet retract in straight -- and that has tucked into the center pole a really handy rod for hanging and unhanging the noodles, which I find surprisingly useful.

However, if you were thinking about getting it, and storage is not an issue for you, and you don't mind fooling with it a little bit to get the dowels to stay firmly in place, there's no reason you wouldn't be happy with it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good in its simplicity, February 15, 2007

Does the job well, I bought 2 since one reviewer said it did not hold a lot of pasta, but i find that for my needs one is normally enough. Minus one star since the holes for the dowels are a little large and there is no real resistance, so I find myself often sliding the dowel as I place and rearrange the pasta on the dowel. Thought the base was a little wobbly, but then realized that I screwed it in reversed. LOL Its a nice accompianment to the KA KPRA rollers i bought.

Works great.

Interesting alternative use when we are not drying pasta with it - We keep it out all the time and use it to dry used ziplock bags after washing them for recycling. Can easily handle even the 2 gallon size. We use to try drying them on the counter, which just works so-so.

This is a great little pasta drying rack, and the price is right. The main pole screws into the base, and the drying rods then get inserted through the main pole. The pasta sides off of the raw wood poles very easily when you are ready to cook it. Plus it all disassembles in a second to be easily stored, taking up little room. This is one of those rare kitchen devices that just effortlessly works from moment one, with no fuss or instructions needed. You don't realize how handy this thing is until you have and use it. I formerly laid my pasta out on the counter, which does work, but also promotes much more clumping together, even with lots of flour tossed about. This rack is a much better solution.

It's a winner. I would say that if you are making a lot of pasta--for 4-6 people--that this might be a little small, and you might consider two of these units.

5.0 out of 5 stars Buy more than one if you make a lot of pasta - I love this simple draying rack., May 27, 2009
This review is from: Norpro Pasta Drying Rack (Kitchen)
I absolutely love this thing and as a matter of fact have three of them. Even a complete klutz like myself can assemble one of these in a snap. No more drying your wonderful pasta on the counter or (and I blush when I say this) using a cloths drying rack...this is much more classy. No more yucky clean up and no more flour on my dark unmentionables. Clean up is an absolute breeze...completely no problem.
Quite often simplicity is the best and that old saying certainly hold true with this product. Like another reviewer here, I must tell you that the wood these are made from is not the strongest so don't let your sister's insufferable brats play with it too much as it will not stand the handling of three Neanderthal larva for very long.
All in all, I could not be happier with a product.

5.0 out of 5 stars Pasta drying rack, November 13, 2006

This drying rack is wonderful!! It takes up so little space to store and is so easy to assemble in just a few seconds. It works great and holds lots of pasta, and takes up very little room when set up on the counter. Plus, it is so easy to just pick up and carry over to the stove to pop the pasta into the boiling water. Great for anyone who doesn't want a rack that takes up room, and doesn't have really big amounts of pasta to dry at one time.
