This design works better than the others!,

(Some notes: The color of the peeler is orange, in case you wanted to know. Also, the price stated when I bought mine was for qty 2 of these, but they were packaged together in a pack, and I didn't know that, so I got double what I thought I had ordered. No biggie!)
You make four cuts in the orange, turn the peeler over, and now it's a digger. Depends on the orange but I usually have no-mess peelings. If the orange is tight-skinned then this really helps dig into and separate the peel from the fruit. A best-of-breed peeler for sure, and a lot better than those stick-like citrus peelers. I take them to meetings at work and everyone is amazed. These are so inexpensive that I bought them for the whole department.

Not a necessity, but a lot of fun if you can get it for under a buck!,

This is a great little gizmo if you can find it at your local Dollar Store or equivalent. Two "magic orange peelers" on a card will run you about a buck. If you have to pay more than .50 shipping, then just use a knife, a fingernail or a paper clip to peel your orange.
This is just a little plastic ring that fits on your finger. It's attached to a curve with a "tooth." Pierce the orange with the tooth, and the curved surface makes it easy to run this over your orange and section off the skin without cutting too deep. I don't know what possessed me to buy this in the first place. The card sat on a shelf for quite a while. Eventually I put one orange peeler in the kitchen drawer and took the other to work. Amazingly, it was fun! I started buying more oranges just so I could use the gizmo. Then one day the little plastic "tooth" bent over and kind of flattened out. I tried straightening it, but it just wasn't able to peel any more. That's when I realized I was hooked on the orange peeler. I went to all the Dollar Stores in my vicinity looking for a replacement, but no joy. Then I started looking on line. Well, here it is - but the shipping charges are outrageous! What's up with that? This isn't a volatile chemical like paint or perfume. It isn't made of glass or something that requires a lot of cushioning. Heck, Amazon's associates charge less than $3.00 to ship CDs! The Orange Peeler can be a lot of fun. It may make it easier for you, or a child in the family, to get your requisite daily allowance of fruit. But don't go overboard. For a buck the gizmo is a deal. If you tack on high shipping costs it's not worth it.

Save your money and use a knife.,

This item is all molded plastic. There is a curved surface that fits the contour of an orange. Within this curved surface there is a plastic protrusion. With this you make cuts around the orange. But you could do the same thing faster with a kitchen knife. Next step: there is a curved plastic surface that you drag under the peel. The problem is that when you peel off the peel with this device you get a lot of white inner-layer peel that stays on the orange. You will need to cut that off with a kitchen knife. But alas, you could have saved yourself a step in the process by just using a kitchen knife. This peeler is worthless.

Slip it on your finger, run it across the orange or grapefruit horizontally and then vertically, and peel. Very easy and very effective.

I love these peelers and sometimes have a hard time finding them. I actually buy up to 10 or 12 at a time and pass them on to friends who admire them at work at lunch. I like that they work on pulling around the orange and are hard to gouge yourself with. You can't beat the price.

works great. Good price. Buy several for friends since they are so cheap and shipping is more than the product.

Great ergodynamic design, except the finger hole is too small for some fingers. Worked great first time, but broke in half the second time. Oh well.
