I already have the red plastic canning kit - this is a great upgrade. It's a good and very complete canning set. The stainless steel is easier to clean and sterilize. Love the funnel with its filter insert. I love the lid holder. And the added natural cheesecloth was great, too. Like the other reviewer stated, the canning rack is huge. You'd need a full-sized pot to make it work, so if you're getting this what that item in mind, be aware.

When people in other comments say the rack is "large," they mean it has a 12" diameter. Check your pots before buying! We haven't had much chance to use it all yet, but everything seems to be of good quality.

not at all what I expected. The canning rack did not fit nicely in my large pot. And once it was used, it rusted at all the seams, leaving my nice stainless steel pot with rust marks as well, that eventually came off with time spent scrubbing. The lid holder as well began to tarnish after the first use. Aren't these items meant to be placed in boiling water for a good amount of time? So they really shouldn't be rusting or tarnishing. Everything else worked fine because it did not need to be placed in water for any duration of time.

Great set of basic canning supplies, everything you need to get started except a book. The only thing I'd say is that the rack is quite a bit larger than I expected from the description - you need a full-size canning pot to use it. Otherwise everything was great, just as described and good quality.

This set is absolutely awesome with only one drawback...it doesn't come in a box! It was all in a clear plastic bag that was twist-tied shut inside the shipping carton. Fine for myself but an unwanted surprise if you're giving it as a gift. Just wanted to give a heads-up. :)

All of the components are good quality except for the rack ... it is NOT stainless.
It started to rust with the first use. I paid $70+ for my canning pot and the rack put rust marks at the bottom of my pot. So I am really disappointed in this.

.. the rack doesn't fit in my All-American pressure canner (21.5 qt). I especially like the magnetic wand and the lid rack.

This was an excellent accompaniment to my new pressure cooker and I purchased it as such. I still haven't used the new pressure cooker yet but I have used this canning set with my old water-bath canner several times and I love it. The stainless funnels are to die for. I haven't found a use for the lid magnet yet because the kit comes with a tray in which to place your lids to submerge them in your boiling water (which I also love). I still prefer my kitchen tongs to the kits jar lifter but that may be a personal preference because my kids like the jar lifter better. The ordering was easy, the delivery prompt and I am a satisfied customer.

High quality, easy to use and clean. More complete than many of the canning sets. I liked and used every item.

I received this order within 2 weeks. All of the items were in good shape with the exception of the wire rack. One of the supports was not soldered/welded, making one handle come apart. This piece is flimsy and completely useless without the welding. Thankfully, I already had one. This being said, I have no other complaints. All items work well, and I fine the lid holder quite handy.
