I bought this in November--by December it was already broken and useless. It's not like I was using it in a commercial setting! I made about four pies before the handle began to turn. The screws move, making it difficult and uncomforable to use. It's poor preformance is the reason I'm back on amazon, looking for a new one. Don't bother with this cheap thing!

The blender itself would be fine expcept the handle keep comeing apart every time I use it. The screws rotate with pressure and it comes apart when using.

Cuts butter quickly, however, the handle rotates when I push down. So I have to keep my forefinger on the top of the screw to stabilize it as I push down. Other than that it works fine. I prefer using it over the food processor which blows out flour when I pulse it.

The handle is not firmly fixed in this tool so it will rotate as you are trying to use it. Additionally, the side edges are not rounded and cause discomfort during use; especially if you have large hands. Spend a little more and buy another product.

This is a really good pastry blender for the price. It's sturdy and works well. Usually a good one like this costs at least 3 times as much.

i brought this to make pie crust easier. cutting in butter does a number on your hands when using a fork. my first time using this was not a good one.

1) its made in china you can find one of these in a dollar store for 99 cents!

2) the handle is screwed in from both sides with no stopper to prevent it from spinning in place. as i was cutting in the butter for a pie crust for an apple pie it seemed to be the dream come true! cutting butter like it wasn't even there until the handle decided to spin causing my hand to trust down into the flour flipping the bowl half way over. with what just happened i managed to finish being very very careful.

3) when i was done an cleaning up i examined it a little closer, the cutting blades were bend to the side somewhat. not a big deal the its basically expanded metal an if you have to do this every time they will snap off.

all in all i rate this with 1 star if you need a cutter examine the way the handle attaches so the handle DONT spin on you while cutting in the butter. ive seen a dozen for just a few bucks more that are much better construction. again you can find this in a dollar store

Handle rotates with use, and you can get a nasty scrape on the sides if it does so at the wrong time. I've tried tightening the screws and it just doesn't do anything. I'm looking for different one now.

As other reviews have mentioned, the handle comes loose every time I use it. You can tighten the screws, but that only fixes it for so long. And as embarrassing as it is to admit it, I've managed to take a chunk out of the same finger twice while using it. The handle slipped causing my finger to slam into the rather sharp side. It's definitely worth buying a more expensive, sturdier model.
