I have several of these and use them with every pie I bake (several a month). These were a gift for my grown son who actually requested them on his Christmas wish list since he loves to bake too. They are wonderful and so much easier to use than trying to shape foil around the edge of a pie before baking. Big hint: Spray the inside of the Pie Shield with Pam or a similar non-stick cooking spray before using it. Makes removal for browning part way through the baking process much easier.

This is an excellent pie crust shield and an excellent value. It perfectly protects the thin crust edge from over-cooking. It will also work for a smaller 9" pie plate/pan - which is why I bought it, since I've got both 9" & 10" pie plates/pans. This is a must have.

Norpro 10 Inch Pie Crust Shield, I have two of them for a while now and they are the best thing to get if you Bake Pies, I used to apply aluminum Foil all around the edge of the Pie, so much work but this is so much better, my Sister got them for me I guess she noticed I was working way too hard and you don't have to, just get the Shield it will make your life a lot easier and your Pies won't look as burned.

Norpro Pie Shield, I like them a lot, however, I wish they would make a bigger size more like 11 Inches because sometimes I make bigger Pies in my 10 1/2 Inch Amco Food Service Pie Pan which is one of my favorites and they are really 10 1/2 Inch wide so the Norpro Pie Shield are hard to fit, specially if you do all the Braided Pinched or Fluted Pie Edge decorating, you need a lot more room, then I have to go back to the Aluminum Foil Ring once more. Have used with pie crusts made from real butter, as well as Pillsbury refrigerated crusts. No over-browning in any case. Highly Recommend.

hi I am using a 10 inch pie crust shield and can,t do without.My sister saw mine and wanted a few .it protect the crust from burning and it,s wonderful. amanda
