Messy & Complicated, May 19, 2007
This review is from: Norpro 3298 Scoop and Release Cookie Dropper (Kitchen)
While it sounds neat, it doesn't work well. Getting the proper amount into the scoop is tough unless you also use your fingers (covering them with cookie dough) or a spoon/utensil (which gets complicated). Then, once the dough is in the scoop, the lever release handle doesn't seem to have enough oomph or power to push the cookie dough all the way out, so you either have to use your fingers to scoop it out (again messing up your hands) or a spoon to scrape it out. I've tried the dough at various temperatues to see if it works better at certain consistencies, but if the dough is chilled it's hard to dig into and shape, and if it's at room temperature it's tough to push out of the scoop with the lever. Overall it's more time and mess effective to just skip awkwardness of this cookie scoop.
