This was great and effective to use until It broke while juicing ~ the 20th lime. Also is too small to handle a large healthy lime. Ultimately there were tons of air pockets in the die-cast aluminum (visible once broken) and the handle snapped including a small piece of the concave cup. I'm not sure that most people would have the strength to break this juicing a lime, but that said, they would also no be able to juice a medium to large lime.

Excellent juicer for lemons and limes - it gets so much more juice out from the fruit than just squeezing them like I see the chefs do on tv. Inserting the fruit opposite of the shape of the juicer works the best (it almost inverts the rind).

I've broken these units before when the pot metal they were cast from gave way at the hinge while I was trying to extract that last bit of juice from a tough lime.

But, though I've been anticipating that fateful CRACK when I overdo it, this juicer has so far stood up to the pithiest limes, and hasn't complained when I load up a stack of spent rinds trying to wrench a few more milliliters out of them.

My only complaint is that the edible wax that seems to come slathered all over the outside of most citrus (even the "organic" fruit from Whole Paycheck) adheres to the inside surfaces of this tool and is tough to scrub off. I don't know if there's an alternative finish to this bright green enamel that would slough off the wax any easier (OXO, can you guys get on this one?)

Update 6/2012:
SOLID! Still going strong - now I'm going to order the lemon version.

This item is a must have. Incredibly convenient and sturdy.
Note: there's a yellow version for lemons that works well too, but is a bit hard to press with large lemons.

Works fine but paint began to peel in less than 6 months. Had to toss. Poor quality. Wish it could be replaced.

We purchased 100 of these as a promotional item for an industry trade show. Had them silk screened and they will work out nicely. Thank you for being able to deliver 100 of these in a very timely fashion

Have had this less than a month and already after a few uses, the enamel has begun chipping. I do not leave it soaking. I wash and dry it right after use. Debating on whether to exchange for a new one...

If I could do it all over again, I'd buy the Amco orange juicer. Or at least the lemon juicer. Why?

Lime juicers only juice limes. Lemon juicers juice lemons and limes. Orange juicers juice oranges, lemons AND limes.

That said, this lime juicer still works fine after a few years. Some slight wear and tear.
