3.0 out of 5 stars Thicker than necessary March 11, 2012

The twine does the job, but I would have preferred something thinner. It was so thick that it slipped right off the shanks before I could even brown them off for osso bucco.

Oh, and since the product description fails to mention, MADE IN CHINA.

1.0 out of 5 stars Didn't use. Smelled bad. July 9, 2012

Made in China and has a bad smell. Package is not hermetically sealed. I don't know if the smell is from the manufacturing process or if the cotton absorbed it from the factory shipping carton. It's going back.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful twine October 8, 2011

I purchased this twine for all my roasting needs as well as for crafts projects. It is just what I needed and at a fraction of the cost of other retailers. Highly recommend.

5.0 out of 5 stars Just As Advertised
Good cotton twine with no defects---a nicely wrapped ball that came in the mail wrapped in plastic. You're getting what you pay for.

Good twine for food, very easy to work with it soft but strong, not waxy and stiff like other I have used. I recommend this to anyone.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very heavy duty!
It's basic kitchen twine, so there's nothing flashy or exciting about it. This brand is thick and heavy, and so far I've used it to truss a chicken and make braciole. Read more

5.0 out of 5 stars It's string, yo
I use this string to tie up tea bags. It's considerably cheaper and better-tasting to buy loose tea, string, and perforated coffee filters to tie your own little tea... Read more

4.0 out of 5 stars Good Twine
This a good all purpose twine. I bought for trussing chickens and turkeys and it works well for me. I
like the smaller roll. No need for the huge ones.

4.0 out of 5 stars Norpro 942 Cotton Twine
Not what I expected--a much heavier (larger guage) twine than I have ever used for cooking. But, it works, and is OK for the purpose, and we will doubtless order again. Read more

The twine was timely shipped and works great. We use it to tie off our hop bags for brewing beer.
