This little guy is very cute, but the design of it is quite lacking. He has "plate" on his lower jaw that holds the nut, but none on the top of his mouth so nuts get stuck in his head when you try to crack them. Smaller nuts, like almonds and hazelnuts are almost impossible to crack in this thing and larger nuts like brazil nuts get wedged in the top of his mouth and have to be pried out. Great if you're buying for a cute conversation piece, but don't plan on using it for practical purposes.

This arrived very quickly. It is a very cute squirrel nutcracker. I have found that it doesn't do well with the larger nuts. Overall really more decorational than functional but still works good. I gave this a present and we all had fun putting a nut in his "mouth" and cracking it like a real squirrel would do. Fun and highly recommended!!!
