Product Description

Product Description

Norpro's Grip-EZ Nonstick Splatter Screen protects yourself and your kitchen from splatters. While still allowing air and steam to release. Also use as a sieve/strainer. 13"/33cm diameter.

Amazon.com

Protect bare skin from grease burns and eliminate splatter spots on the stovetop with this splatter screen from Everett, Washington-based kitchenware provider Nor Pro. The splatter screen fits over skillets, pots, and woks 11-inches in diameter and smaller, reflecting bubbling oil or marinara sauce back into the cookware instead of onto nearby walls and countertops. In contrast to a standard lid, the splatter screen allows the cooking dish breath and can double as a sieve or steaming screen.

Nor Pro crafted the nonstick splatter screen in durable 18/10 stainless steel. The commercial grade stainless-steel mesh is food safe and hygienic. Designed for Nor Pro’s Grip-EZ line, the splatter screen features a gently cushioned and slip-resistant handle for ergonomic comfort. The handle adapts for both left- and right- handed users. The screen is dishwasher- safe for cleaning convenience. The splatter screen measures 13-inches in diameter and weighs one pound upon shipping. --Jessica Reuling

Great quality and works as intended.

His style of cooking does use quite a bit of oil, which sometimes gets all over the place.

The edges hold in water and it rust extremely fast!

We have had this item for since Jan. 14 and it is already rusted. It works nice for the purpose made, however, I don't feel comfortable using it since the screen is starting to rust and the rim around the screen by the handle. I do not soak it in water-mainly it is use, clean within 45-60 min. after use and then dry and it still has begun to rust.

I cook alot so I get quite a bit of use out of the splatter screen. This one is much better than the old fashioned metal/plastic type ones. My only complaint is that these are not dishwasher recommended. I have put this in the dishwasher a few times though and had no problems. (I use Air Dry Heat for my machine).

Save your money. Mine has warped and comes up around the edges of my pans. On top of that it doesn't stop enough "splatter" to make it worth the effort of cleaning.

the screen works ok, it does block some of the grease but not all of it. I still get splatter on the tea-kettle and on the stove when cooking with grease. I have also recently seen some minor rust on the edges of the screen after washing in the dishwasher. Is this normal? Only have had it 2 months.

I put this through the dishwasher once to clean it before using and it already started rusting around the edge and on the screen itself. I put it through a normal cycle with normal dish detergent. The description says dishwasher safe and also that it's stainless steel. Clearly neither are the case. They are allowing me to return it. Had it not rusted, it seems like it would have been a great product.

i got it in order to stop splatter all over the side of the refrigerator when I make tomato sauces and bacon. But I notice that it splatters all over the place anyway. It's kind of hard to miss since the refrigerator is a great big white surface next to the stove. The screen is just not small enough to stop most of the splattering. Try a different one is my recommendation.
