We have used this style of rack on our charcoal and gas grills for over 25 years. We've tried others but always go back to this one. Great for whole chickens, cornish hens, any beef & pork roasts. With smaller meats there is even room to place potatoes around on it. The handles are easy to grab even with oven mitts on. And it sets securely on a cutting board to carry it into the house.

Unfortunately, the non-stick coating started flaking away as soon as we used it. After about two uses, the coating was not in good shape at all. We never put it in the dishwasher, and only used a soft sponge on it, but the non-stick coating just didn't stay attached.

The size and shape of this rack are great, and other than the coating, it's pretty sturdy. I'd be willing to go with a similar model that doesn't have the coating ... but this one is going back.

This is a very sturdy solid roasting rack large enough for a 12-14 pound turkey or two chickens. Two racks of pork ribs fit it perfectly. Handles are solid and it washes up nicely. I'd highly recommend this rack.

This is a sturdy rack with larger gauge metal then many similar racks. It's fairly heavy duty. But the non-stick coating started coming off with the first hand washing. I may just strip it and season this like a piece of cast iron.

I purchased this rack along with the 18 inch Graniteware Oval Roasting pan. The rack looks like it is very nice but will not fit into the oval pan. If you want to use this rack, you should select a rectangular roaster - it's the curve of the oval that makes it not fit. I checked the dimensions, but didn't calculate for the curve (and just accepted what was recommended as a good idea).

A few wires, coated with a non-stick material; I plop the chicken or roast on it and stick it in the oven. What could be simpler?

I like the product with the exception of the nonstick coating. Pieces of it came off on the food the first time I used it. When I cleaned it more came off.

I registered for this for my wedding, because it came highly recommended by America's Test Kitchen. (They do great equipment reviews.) I've used it perhaps 8 times, and have been very satisfied with the results. Twice I used it on large turkeys and it proved to be very strong. But it worked equally well on chicken. Clean up is a cinch and it's all one piece, so you don't have to take it apart and put it together. It's a little bulky in storage, but that's a small price to pay for quality.

I utilize this roast rack with my Weber 741001 22.5-Inch One-Touch Silver Kettle Grill, Black with the Smokenator 1000 Transforms 22-inch Weber Kettle's Into Smokers insert. It holds jumbo turkeys, whole chicken, and loin cuts and elevates them so that the smoke can penetrate the meat all over. The big handles on either end are great for grabbing when wearing BBQ gloves. Cleanup is done by hand, but its easy since the whole thing is non stick. A great buy for the price and size, especially when using with the Weber kettle!
