5.0 out of 5 stars High quality.
Been a baker for years and had 30 year old cookie pans that needed replacing. I refused to buy the cheaper sheets that rusted. I was thrilled to find a high quality heavy duty aluminum replacement. I would definitely buy again, but I probably won't be around when these new ones need replacing. At least my children will enjoy them after I'm gone (if they ever learn to...

2.0 out of 5 stars Larger than described
Great quality cookie pan, but it actually measures 9 1/2" x 13" - I bought it to use in a 12" square toaster oven, and it sadly does not fit.

I've alway liked aluminum pans, and these are worth the extra couple of dollars more than the "non-stick" pans that start to rust after several months of heavy use. The pans are a very thick aluminum and very sturdy. They are big enough to hold anything, clean up easily, and if anything does get baked on, I can scrub as hard as I want without damaging them.

These pans might be a little small for some thing, but they are incredibly useful when a large pan isn't needed. The larger version of these are definitely the best general purpose baking pans that I own.

As another reviewer stated - these are NOT 9x12" baking sheets. They do in fact measure 13" x 9.5" and will NOT fit into a standard 12" toaster oven. How hard is to measure a baking sheet and get it right? The bottom may be 9x12" but the baking sheet itself is not. These will get returned.

4.0 out of 5 stars Very nice pan...does not fit a toaster oven, May 11, 2007

I purchased this for my toaster oven that is supposed to fit a 12" pizza. I thought this pan would fit since it is labeled as 12". But it did not fit.

That by no means makes this pan useless. It is a very nice pan! I am going to buy the larger size too. It does not warp in the oven like some of the thinner cookie sheets. It is nice and heavy but not too heavy. If you make smaller recipes this is a nice little item to buy!

This baking pan is made in China - a concern because of their lack of manufacturing standards. You never know what your items are going to be made of and while it says it is 9-Inch by 12-Inch in the item title, that is the inner part of the pan measurements. I made the mistake of assuming the product description was the true size and missed the overall dimensions listed in the product features section. Make sure you know what you are really getting before you buy.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great pan, Poor manufacturer packaging, May 15, 2010

This pan came with a label taped on with what appeared to be double-sided tape. I tried everything to get the label off of the pan. What I was left with was a new, unused pan that is scratched up in the middle from me trying to remove the label. I soaked it and tried for a very long time to get the tape off with no success. I finally used a plastic scrub pad, which scratched up the surface of the pan and still did not take the tape off. I finally had to take the advice of a relative and use acetone nail polish remover to get it off and even this took some elbow grease. I would have been very happy with the pan if not for this. The manufacturer needs to seriously re-think how they attach the labels.

1.0 out of 5 stars Pan surface marred by sticky tape! Rough edges! Look elsewhere!, April 22, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Norpro Professional 9-Inch by 12-Inch Heavy Gauge Cookie Sheet (Kitchen)
I just received this 9x12 inch baking pan. When I opened the box, the pan had no plastic wrapper but it did have a large label stuck to the pan. I tried to carefully pry the label off the pan but dead-center was a 4 inch strip of double-sided adhesive that stuck to the pan when I removed the label.

I tried to remove the adhesive from the pan with peanut butter and a paper towel (usually removes any kind of gummy tape residue) but had no luck. Then I soaked the pan in hot water and dish detergent for over an hour but it was now just hot and sticky adhesive. I ended up coating the area with peanut butter and using a wooden popsicle stick to gently "bunch" the adhesive residue up and off the pan, which took the better part of half an hour.

For my trouble, I was left with a nice shiny pan with a 4" by 1/2" mark where the adhesive had been. Whatever they used to hold down the paper, etched itself into the metal! What the heck is up with that? Every other pan I have ordered online comes with some kind of paper label attached but they all use the little "gummy-bear" type stuff that just rolls off easily. This stuff ruined the look of my pan.

Now, here is the kicker. On the bottom side of the label were three recipes: How to make a jelly roll, Pumpkin Squares and Cookies. The adhesive "PULLED THE INGREDIENTS LIST" for the Pumpkin Squares right off the label. So I have no idea how to cook that even if I were so inclined.

Really poorly thought out idea for attaching the label to the pan.

The only other complaint is that I have a fair number of professional baking pans and the design of this is baloney. The pan is metal with with a metal skin formed over it and the edges that are crimped under are not pressed down tight and a bit rough/sharp to the touch.

IF YOU WANT A NICE, HEAVY DUTY BAKING PAN, GO TO A RESTAURANT SUPPLY STORE. AT THE VERY LEAST, AVOID THIS PAN. BETWEEN THE METAL-ETCHING ADHESIVE AND THE LOUSY DESIGN OF THE "SECOND-SKIN" APPROACH, THIS PAN SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED IN YOUR KITCHEN.

I received the larger size Norpro professional for Christmas last year. It quickly became my favorite baking sheet. So, I bought the smaller version. The two smaller ones I bought will get more use because of the handy size. My dishwasher holds the smaller ones better too.

The lower ratings on this pan seem to be from people who did not read the descriptions. The dimensions are listed on nearly every amazon item page, yet I am amazed at the number of people who disregard important information and then leave a low rating how an item is larger or smaller than they expected. Just like with a TV, you get the actual viewing surface and then the material around it that is needed to function properly and hold it together.

Sadly, I did not read the reviews before ordering and had the same experience as another customer. The glue that is used to attach the label to the pan does not come off. I soaked it, tried scraping it... nothing. There's a permanent ultra sticky, goopy strip smack dab in the center of where food should go. I just called to exchange, but am now worried that the next one they send will be exactly the same. It's a shame, because the pan looks and feels pretty high quality.
