Great item ! Norpro makes very versatile double steamer.It's easy to use and easy to clean.It's big enough to steam large items, Yet can be small enough for lesser amounts.It can be seperated to cook in seperate pots so flavors won't mingle and it saves cooking time.It foldes compactly to take less storage space than larger steamers. So if you already have pots this should be the only steamer you ever need.

This steamer comes in two pieces. The lower steamer is the larger one with a plastic central stalk. The upper, smaller one will click on this stalk to make a double layered steamer.

Works well. I wish the space between the two tiers was a little more so I could steam larger pieces of broccoli in the lower steamer.

Unlike the other reviewer here, I am GLAD the stalk is made of plastic. If it were metallic, it would get too hot to handle. The plastic stands up well for stove-top use. I've used it A LOT and it still looks new.

Dishwasher safe.

Works well - very handy for extra veggies or 2 veggies at once. You can start stuff that takes longer on the bottom and add stuff to be lightly steamed on top.

i love the double steamer. it has been helpful for dinners and healthy lite lunches and there is more room for veggies with the double, more efficient use of space.

This steamer works well, especially if you actually need to steam two things separately. At first I thought that the plastic center rod would be problematic with durability, but it's pretty solid and has the added bonus of not getting too hot so it's easy to pick up out of the pot.

I wish the legs on the bottom were a little longer and that it was easier to clean by hand (i don't run the dishwasher very often), but overall it's a steamer and works great.

This is my second. I stack them when necessary to steam many items. No problems and I guess my purchase of a second one says it all.

Cooks Illustrated wasn't a fan of this product. I don't see why. It double my steam capability in an easily stackable unit. I would prefer the plastic bits to be stainless steel, but it doesn't seem like flimsy plastic. My major complaint is that there should be more space between the bottom basket and the top basket to fit e.g. dumplings. Along those lines, the feet on the top basket should fold up so that they don't stab and tear the underlying food. Nevertheless, if you are careful, you can avoid undue damage to your food.

This steamer was shipped quickly and more than met my expectations. It collapses into a smaller diameter for storage, but is a good size for steaming. I had not steamed vegies much before I got this product, so I can't compare to other steamers, but it has us eating more vegetables. and that can't be a bad thing!

Use as single or clip together for double steamer that fits in a saucepan and takes up less space in the cupboard when not in use.

Very functional. Because it can be used at two separate units you have a strainer for large and small pans. Works great now. Time will tell if it is also durable.
