After years of avocado eating, I decided it was time to try out an alternative method to almost slicing my fingers off while removing the flesh from avocados. This works nicely, makes a relatively thin slice (good for the waistline). It cleans up very easily, and is not too large to slide into my (already sagging)utensil drawer. My only complaint will be that it is not one-size-fits all as far as avocados go. I sliced up an avocado tonight, but the tool left a bit too much still inside the skin, which I consider a waste. I'm sure a little more practice in the wrist movement, and I will see less of this, but can't imagine trying to use it on the mammoth Mexican or Hawaiian avocados! Still, the slices are cleanly cut, a definite improvement to my hacked-up, manually cut slices of days gone by.

This gadget is so easy to use. You will never go back to the old way. Take the seed out and peeling and slicing is done with one swoop.

I gave these to my family and friends. They love it! I gave them all away so now I need to get one myself. The family says the product makes for faster salads, soups, and salsas. Very convienent!!!
