5.0 out of 5 stars Your Jelly Rolls Will Look Upon You With Favor
No jelly rolls as of yet have graced this pan, but if I baked any I am certain they would be well pleased. The fish stick's were quite happy, so I am guessing the jelly rolls would be too.

Heating the pan to nearly 500 degrees (fish sticks like it hot, 475) caused it to warp (momentarily startling my fish sticks), but it does return to its normal shape...

1.0 out of 5 stars Product is NOT 18/10 stainless steel!
While the written description clearly states that this product is made from 18/10 stainless steel, IT IS NOT.

When I received this product I was surprised that the packaging did not mention 18/10. So I e-mailed Norpro, the manufacturer. They told me that it is 18/0 stainless steel. Huge difference. People buy 18/10 because testing has shown that it...

No jelly rolls as of yet have graced this pan, but if I baked any I am certain they would be well pleased. The fish stick's were quite happy, so I am guessing the jelly rolls would be too.

Heating the pan to nearly 500 degrees (fish sticks like it hot, 475) caused it to warp (momentarily startling my fish sticks), but it does return to its normal shape after removing from this infernal Hades like temperature. Please note that this is a temperature you would never wish to visit upon a non-stick pan. Over 400 degrees and non-stick becomes violently toxic spewing forth lecherous vapors that kill birds, and you know what they say about canaries in coal mines. Always best to stay away from non-stick, but I'm sure that's why your considering the pristine qualities of stainless to begin with. However, the shiny surface is what attracted me (I like shiny things).

As a previous supporter of the noble qualities of this pan commented, GOO gone works admirably at removing the barnacle laden adhesive from the surface (only two small spots on this pan).

I am now secretly abducting all of our rusting and peeling non-stick in favor of Norpro stainless shiny things. Shh, my wife does not know as of yet, but she will thank me. Muwhahahahaha.

I bought this product because I wanted a baking pan without a non-stick surface. It was gleaming stainless steel when new, but I've never been able to totally remove all smudgy residue when I clean it. I was quite disappointed to find that the pan twisted in the oven when I baked chicken, although it flattened out after I took it out of the oven. I had hoped it was heavy duty enough not to warp when baking.

1.0 out of 5 stars Garbage - don't buy, November 17, 2008

1. It scratches - just from cleaning it with scotch-brite sponge. This is the only stainless steel item I have that scratches.

2. It warps - easily and frequently.

3. It has a depression around the cooking surface (before the sidewalls) that is difficult to clean.

Very sorry I bought it - will probably send it to the recycling service.

5.0 out of 5 stars yes, goo gone works fine..., December 22, 2006
This review is from: Norpro Stainless Steel 15 Inch x 10 Inch Jelly Roll Baking Pan (Kitchen)
I got these figuring that goo gone would work, and yes, it works fine (peel off the label, squirt on goo gone, wait a few minutes, scrape off with a plastic spatula (metal will scratch)), I can wash these in the dish washer without worry of rusting that plagues all other teflon covered cookie sheets I have owned... plus they have a mirror finish and hopefully will never need replacing, unlike teflon coated cookie sheets...

I read the reviews before buying this because I hate the aluminum cookie sheets/jelly roll pans and I really needed a new stainless one. Everyone complained about the way the label was attached. Hello people, have you ever heard of WD-40? I used WD-40 on the pan and the adhesive was gone. No big deal, I have encountered this problem on many pans, dishes, etc.

I have used this pan several times and am extremely pleased. Stainless beats aluminum everytime and I would highly recommend this pan.

The construction is pretty flimsy and the pan buckled when I put it in the oven (350 degrees). Pay a couple bucks extra and get a better quality pan.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not worth the money!!!, November 23, 2008
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Norpro Stainless Steel 15 Inch x 10 Inch Jelly Roll Baking Pan (Kitchen)
This is absolutely the worst baking sheet that I have ever owned. Every time I put it in the oven it warps. So today I tried baking a maple pecan pie, and all the syrup ran off on one side of the pie because as soon as I put it in the oven, it warped again, and then the pie tilted to one side. So now all my pecans are on one side of the pie shell.
This is definitely not worth the 8.99 that I spent for it. I'm putting it in the recycling bin RIGHT NOW!!! I wish there were some way that I could give less than ONE star.

As noted by other reviewers, these warp badly -- pretty much anything over 350 degrees, and even 350 is dicey. Not necessarily a problem if you are only using for cookies, but not useful for anything else!

One (better) alternative is Chicago Metallic professional-grade large jelly roll pans -- available on Amazon, but also from Chef's Catalog (2 for $30) and at World Market (Cost Plus) stores. Costco also used to have a set of 3-4 professional-weight cookie/jelly roll pans even cheaper, so keep an eye out for those!

3.0 out of 5 stars Norpro Stainless Steel Jelly Roll Pan, December 2, 2007
This review is from: Norpro Stainless Steel 15 Inch x 10 Inch Jelly Roll Baking Pan (Kitchen)
Stainless steel jelly roll pans are difficult to find in this price range. Pan is an improvement over aluminum and pans with non-stick surfaces, however, pan needs to be made from heavier steel.
