Pros:
Tins work as advertised

Cons:
Quality Control

Bottom Line:
These tins work fine for the sandbakkels I made, but having to throw away all of one design of the tin due to factory defects made me rate them a 3. Yes, I could have returned them, but I needed them that week and didn't have time to do so (not to mention they are inexpensive). The defect was corrosion on the tins from the factory that couldn't be cleaned off, almost like something corrosive dripped on the tins.

I have used the tins 5 or 6 times each now with no issue. The tin is non-stick when hot and sandbakkels are about half butter anyway, so they don't stick at all. The good tins are good and should last a long time.

I got these little tartlet tins as a gift and have used them a number of times times. If you use a dough with plenty of butter, you don't even need to butter them - just push slightly on the sides of the tins and the tartlets pop right out. The tartlets come out beautifully.

A couple of items to watch out for, however:
1. The edges of these tins are really sharp - be very careful when taking your tartlets out of the tins. I've had cuts on my fingers each time. I suggest using rubber gloves when taking out the tartlets.
2. Don't keep them in water for any length of time - these tins rust quickly. After about a year of owning them, many of mine have rusted because I didn't dry them immediately after washing.

Other than these cons, these are great. I'm considering buying myself another set to replace the rusted tins.

These are great little tart shells. No need to butter/flour these if you're using proper dough tart recipe.

I ordered yesterday, got today - WOW! I'm in love, too cute. I'm having a tea party for my gran (85), with my little sister and bff will be in attendance on Sunday. I was going to just cut the sandwiches, scones, cakes up with a knife. The edges on these are nice, a little sharpness enough to cut into something soft like bread and now I'll have lil decorative sandwiches. I can also cut into the scones and cakes and serve it all pretty like when we go to tea at Four Seasons. Me and gran are allergic to chocolate, so I can cut into a cheese cake with this and top it with fruit or make a graham cracker crust and cut out the shape and top with fruit and whipped cream. Gran will have a blast. Little custard tarts topped with fruit ... endless possibilities. Thanks Norpro and Amazon.

Just love these tartlet tins! I made mini mincemeat pies with a press in pastry and they came out easily and were super easy to work with! I thought they would be smaller but they worked out very well. They are small assorted sizes, one or two bites each. I can see many uses for these tins for appy's and desserts! Very pleased!

I bought these little tart tins to hammer flat and use metal stamps to spell out words for Christmas ornaments. (Pinterest addict) They turned out beautifully! As soon as I was done with my project I immediately ordered another set. As far as using them for their intended use, I have no opinion. As Christmas ornaments-5 stars!
