Bought this for a long trip. I selected this over one I saw at the store because it had the little metal wings, on which I could better balance a duffle. A couple of days into the trip, one of the little wings popped off... (So, if you find a metal flap somewhere at the Washington DC train station, it's mine :-) By the end of the trip, the base was just about scraping along the wheels. Meanwhile, I ended up getting that second trolley (without the wings) at the store, and it seemed to hold up much better. Granted this one had a heavier load. The strap is also not the best, so I used my own bungees as extra support. Most likely, I wouldn't buy this one again, but it did get me through a grueling trip - so eh. It wouldn't be calamitous if you bought it, but you should be able to do better.

the norris 230 is very dependable and performs as advertised, i have used it on loads at 100 lbs. and have had no problems. it's sturdy and very compact which is a plus for me. these types of folding carts are great when used as they are intended. but they are not super heavy duty. if you go up or down long rows of cement steps at weights above 70 lbs. you will shorten the life of the cart by bending the axel. if you take an escalator or an elevator you should have no problem.

In order to comfortably truck a load the handle must be behind the axis in relation to the ledge, so as to provide leverage to easily balance the load over the axis by only slightly tilting the truck back. However, tilting a short truck does not move much the handle back that can be compensated by the proper design, namely by placing the axis just under the handle, as in Sparco Compact Luggage Cart, or by bending the handle toward the axis, as in Vestil Steel Hand Truck, or by both, as in Norris 230 or Safco 4061. The lucky ones could find the YF1004 black luggage cart for as little as $15 in some 99-cent stores.

The Norris 230 type of a short truck has the axis in front of the bent handle, so it does not tend - when loaded - to fall nor strongly push forward that otherwise would requires a big effort to counteract & would put significant strain on the user arm's muscles causing fast fatigue. In short, Norris 230 is a super-ergonomic type of a hand truck superior to Magna Cart Personal Hand Truck.

I had three main concerns as I studied several luggage carts on line. They were sturdiness, wheel size, and handle design. This Norris cart meets two of the criteria and others that I did not consider. It's a sturdy cart and the wheel base is as it appears in the image, but the handle isn't bent at a ninety degree angle as shown.

I've owned carts with straight handles and they present a problem when the cargo extends above the cart's height. At that point, in order to get a grip, you'll have to squeeze your fingers between the cargo and the handle. The experience can be uncomfortable and/or painful, depending on the weight and design of what you're lugging. So, I wasn't happy when I discovered that the two carts that I ordered each have straight handles. I'm not returning them, however, because sometimes I can't be bothered.

In the picture, you'll notice that midway down from the handle, there's a section that resembles the hypotenuse of a triangle. It extends from that midpoint to the opposite base. I thought that was a metal piece because I've seen something similar on other carts, which helps to secure whatever you're carrying. Well, since the carts that I received don't have that metallic retainer, I surmise that what I see in the picture may be the black bungee cord, which does come with each cart.

In addition to sturdiness and solid large wheels that permit you to pull the cart with ease, the other amenity that I like on this cart is the base. At the base, you can fold down the front metal piece, giving you extra height and equalizing the front of the cart with the wheels' radius. That's a plus in case you have to lift a package from the bottom; you won't have to scrape your fingers on the pavement.

It is a great product and folds down easily but also holds a heavy load. I like that the wheels are relatively large, so it can go over uneven ground.

I use this for my work and it is very sturdy and versatile. It collapses to fit on the back seat of my car with a large box on it. I prefer telescoping handles generally, but I expect that this cart will outlast me. The large rubber tires are much quieter and less apt to tip over than anything I have had previously. I'm a Norris fan.

I purchased this one after looking at several others. It folds up neatly and rolls well in service. The elastic strap is hard to use, so I use my own bungie cords to hold objects. The fold out shelves at the bottom are nice hold wider objects.

I've been pleased with the product. I use it daily to carry a heavy cooler and a bag from my car in the parking lot into my office in the morning and then back out to my car again at night. After a number of back surgeries I was told by my surgeon that it wouldn't hurt to try to avoid carrying anything heavy if possible. So, I purchased the cart and it has been doing the job daily for me. The only thing that kept me from giving it a rating of five stars instead of four stars is the height of the handle. I'm six feet tall and if it were just a couple of inches taller it would be the perfect height for me to pull behind me with complete and total comfort. It's no big deal and not a reason to avoid buying it. I recommend it highly but it would be perfect if it were just an inch or two taller.
