When I was still in H.S. i found this book in the library, and read it through. A decade later I wrote to AMS Press and bought one. This book, produced under the auspices of the American Scandanavian Foundation is a great introduction to the Norse pantheon, and all of the stories of it's rise and fall. The foundation also published fantastic full versions of classic Norse sagas. Although I am not a student of Anglo-Saxon history, I am a Tolkien fan from the 70's. These books are a great resource for anyone interested in Norse history (I try not to use the word "mythology" in reference to anyone's beliefs).
