Good format, but rather out-of-date, February 9, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: North American Shortwave Frequency Guide (Paperback)
I was intrigued when I found this large-format paperback guide to international radio frequencies. It's laid out quite well and looks quite good, but unfortunately, now that it's about three years old, a lot of the information is out of date. The guide shows the pitfalls of trying to publish a shortwave frequency guide that isn't updated annually (as is Passport to World Band Radio or the World Radio TV Handbook). There is a somewhat useful list of non-broadcast (utility) stations in the back which is not quite as obsolete as the broadcast listings, plus some general information on shortwave listening in the first section. Given this book is still selling for it's full list price, I'd say save your money for a copy of a more recently-updated shortwave guide.
