4.0 out of 5 stars I'm Nuts........... About Squirrels!, January 27, 2004
In terms of books on squirrel field research I believe this to be one of the best in print. It is both a concise yet through volume. It is my personal opinion that a person will only appreciate the value of this book and it's research if they admire the animal itself and do not view it as a pest.

I am very fond of the squirrels that visit my bird feeder and windowsill. Thanks to this book I was better able to understand their world and lifecycle.

This is a comprehensive, easy-to-navigate, and simply written book that reads with the ease that more scientifically oriented books don't have. Well worth it to purchase this if you are curious about squirrels of all kinds.

4.0 out of 5 stars Nice Book, January 8, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This book made a wonderful gift for my grandma, a devout squirrel fan. She enjoyed watching and talking about them so much I thought I'd give her a book with some hard facts and information. The book is very interesting, thorough, and informative. The only problem is that it can be a bit too scientific at times for grandma. Just something to keep in mind when purchasing; the writers are scientists, and they deliver hard facts and data when they write. The book is not devoid of good writing, it can just be hard for some people to digest.
