Enjoy a good ghost story or legend? Then this is the book for you. Especially if you also have an interest in North Carolina. North Carolina Ghosts & Legends, as the title indicates, covers many old ghost stories and legends from the mountains to the coast. Stories include "The Ghost Comes for Blackbeard", "The Unearthly Music of Roan Mountain", "The Mysterious Hoofprints at Bath", "The Little Red Man", "Devil's Tramping Ground" and "The Battle of the Dead". I found the stories to be very interesting. Nancy Roberts' writing style draws you in and makes you feel like you're there. Many chapters have pictures, some of which have apparitions added by a photographer... |
