North To Katahdin was eight years in the making and is a shimmering portrait of the journey. The cinematic tour de force presents a tapestry of challenges, transcendant beauty, personal triumph and intimate reflection. From the Spring flowers in the Southern Appalachians to some of the world's most daunting weather conditions on Mt. Washington, North To Katahdin bears witness to the importance of preservation of natural resources.

North To Katahdin is defintiely a likely candidate to lure people to the AT. Several years ago my son and I did some of the AT in Vermont, and we met a through hiker nicknamed Choo-Choo who had not looked at any trail videos, and had done very little reading about the AT before going down to Georgia to take a look. He explained that after several days the trail just reached up and grabbed me, and it hasn't let go yet. Watch out; with its lovely natural sound, intimate ramblings by hikers and beautiful photography,
North To Katahdin may just reach up and grab you.
