easy to install
Installation was easy; it just slides into the end of the auto-close gate. The gate works well too.

arrived damaged.
This may have been a good product, but the boxes arrived destroyed. Absilutely not the carriers fault. Amazon did such bad packing, there was no way it could have survived the trip. And since the delivery box was destroyed, it would cost me more to pay the local pack and ship to return the damaged extension and wait for replacement. Instead, I went to the local PetSmart...

My son gets into everything and anything. This gate system is excellent. It allows you to have baby in hand and open/close the gate. It automatically closes so if you have forgetful people in your house you don't have to keep checking. These stand the test of time and lots of use. Totally worth it.

The extension worked great and was solid when installed. Unfortunately, I did not measure the opening at the top of the stairs and the extension caused the gate to be too long.

This gate was easy to put up. It closes 90% of the time. I would buy it again.
