4.0 out of 5 stars great lil tent for the price and 7x9 was a typo.
I bought this tent after much research into pricing, stability, etc etc. For the price, its VERY well built, sturdy and stable. I wanted this for weekend trips on the Harley, its packed size being small and light, its perfect. In fact, I'm planning on buying 1-2 more, and conneting the porces on a common set of poles, then perhaps adding a tarp on the wind side over...

3.0 out of 5 stars This tent is actually smaller than 9 x7--edited: Amazon corrected the size so I will give 5 stars now!
The rain cover is larger than other tents in the same price range, and the fact the base becoming the part of the side wall makes this tent good for rainy, windy weather. I just put up the tent in my living room, and I do not see myself in a wet sleeping bag in this tent outdoor. The small porch at the entrance makes this tent even better. I am satisfied with my...

I bought this tent after much research into pricing, stability, etc etc. For the price, its VERY well built, sturdy and stable. I wanted this for weekend trips on the Harley, its packed size being small and light, its perfect. In fact, I'm planning on buying 1-2 more, and conneting the porces on a common set of poles, then perhaps adding a tarp on the wind side over them all for a vestibule type area.

It seems well constructed, its easy to set up (about 10 mins real world), and suprisingly warm inside with its full fly drawn down (tested in 30-40 deg f temps). Its an English tent btw (according to the literature with it), which is probably why its actually built to withstand the elements.

Saying its 3 person sleepable would be a bit cozy, but atleast you'd all stay warm. The original description on the website stated it is 7x9', just a typo, cause its in reality 7x6', but it is a FULL 7x6'. I'm 6'0", and no problem stretching out for me. My coleman full size air mattress fills the floor nicely :-) I would recommend a footprint if youre going to use this in rough terrain, the floor is constructed the typical 'blue tarp' material.

Its not a palace, but a "roomy enough for two adults" tent thats easily packable in its sturdy carry case. Im docking it one star simply due to the included stakes, theyre honestly laughable, but still useable in winds of less than 20 mph or so. I added to the stakes by hitting the local hardware store and buying some of the giant galvanized 10" long twist nails they have for a buck a pound.

5.0 out of 5 stars I can't believe the price, October 28, 2005

I got this tent as a spontaneous decision. It was just so affordable, and I needed a tent for a few trips this year. I haven't tested it out in difficult conditions, but I set it up in my backyard.

Quick to set-up, and I love the "front porch". It's an innovative design that I will probably use to keep my gear relatively dry if there's rain.

All in all, I like (but not love) the tent. I like the color. but for the price....I love the tent. I still can't believe it was this cheap. The price seems too good to be true. For this price, I will be happy if this tent just lasts through this season.

A friend and I backpacked through Europe last summer and slept in this tent around 12 nights out of a month long trip. We were thrilled with the quality of this tent for the price. It did leak a little when we encountered driving rain and high winds but never on other rainy nights without the wind. We really abused this tent and it held up beautifully. It's a little bit complicated to set up as there are lots and lots of stakes to drive in but overall it's a great little tent.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great tent for the price, February 24, 2006

My girlfriend and I have used this tent 3 times now. So far I have only 1 complaint. When you are done, it is a royal pain to get it to fit back into it's case. Other than that, it's an amazing tent for the money. I paid $24.99 for it but even at $29.99, it's just as good as the tents that are $15-$25 more. It's fairly easy to assemble and You can fit a queen size inflatable mattress inside with about 8 inches to spare on one side. Even through the sides are thin, it holds in heat very well. The last time we used it it rained a little and it did not leak at all. If it was easier to fit back in it's carrier it would get 5 stars. All in all, an amazing value for the money.

I'm a begineer using tents and outdoors gear and this is a pretty good first step for a newcomer like me. The tent is quite confortable for a big guy (I'm a 6feet plus guy) it was really easy to install, but the printed instructions were the only setback of the whole experience they were kind of incomplete I had to figure out how to finish setting up the tent all by myself. I was really easy to take down and it fitted perfectly back in the carrying bag. For the price it's a great buy, but please make the instructions a little bit more precise for non-experienced user like myself.

I like it. It's not a huge 5-room tent, but a nice tent for me and my boyfriend. We used it this past weekend without any problems, was even easy for me to set-up.

Good working tent. Nice price.

2.0 out of 5 stars OK tent for the money...if you don't mind getting rained on, May 17, 2006
This review is from: NorthPole 7- by 6-Foot Two to Three-Person Dome Tent (Sports)
I would have given this tent 4 or 5 stars if it hadn't rained during my trip. Very lightweight and extremely easy to put up. The porch-type door that can be propped up was great. Especially when it was just raining lightly...I could put stuff under it that I didn't necessesarily want in my tent but wanted to keep dry. As soon as the rain started coming down a little harder (moderate, really) the tent started leaking all over...not something I could patch, just wasn't pulled tight enough. If you're camping in an area that you are sure won't have any rain, this is the tent for you.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good tent for the price!!! Wish it had 2 doors...., April 11, 2006
This review is from: NorthPole 7- by 6-Foot Two to Three-Person Dome Tent (Sports)
Got this tent for this past weekend camping trip. Very roomy. We got a full air mattress because of reviews here but found out it would have accomodated a queen. No matter, we liked the extra room we got to put oru bag on the side. My boyfriend ins tall - 5'11 & 1/2 and I'm 5'5. He's medium weight for his height and I'm normal to small but even with the full mattress, there was plenty of room. The 2 windows was also a nice feature because no matter how you sleep, the windows were slightly above your head and in an angle which allowed for direct air circulation without getting the light from the moon in your eyes. Also love the "front porch" feature.

It was also quite easy to set up but it seems at the end of the directions, it left a whole section off where you had to figure it out for yourself.

This would be a perfect tent if the door was on both sides so your partner isn't crawling over you each time they needed the loo.......why it gets 4 stars vs 5.

I'd like to add that this was spring time camping in Texas. I suspect we'll need to buy a powerful battery operated fan for the summer time camping.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not good for poor weather conditions, July 4, 2006
This review is from: NorthPole 7- by 6-Foot Two to Three-Person Dome Tent (Sports)
We planned on taking this tent on a long camping trip to Canada this summer. In anticipation of the trip, we took it out for a "test run" to make sure it was comfortable and weather resistant. The first night was great. It was a warm night, and the tent provided great ventilation. The second night we had a thunderstorm, and the tent started leaking within minutes after the storm started. The rain shield did, basically, nothing to keep the rain out. Luckily, the rain did not last long, so we were able to dry everything and remain in the tent for the night. If the rain had continued throughout the night, however, we would have been completely soaked. Although the tent is a good price, DO NOT use this tent unless you're absolutely certain that you'll be camping in dry, rain-free, conditions.
