About the Author

Vin T. Sparano, recently retired as Outdoor Life's longtime editor, has fished the entire globe. His interest in the outdoors blended perfectly with his career at Outdoor Life, which began in 1960. He remains on Outdoor Life's staff as Editor Emeritus/Senior Field Editor and writes the popular monthly column, "Private Lessons." A long-standing member of the Outdoor Writers Association of America, Sparano is editor of Southeast Guide to Saltwater Fishing & Boating, second edition, and author of The Outdoor Sportsman's Illustrated Dictionary, The American Fisherman's Fresh and Saltwater Guide, and the Complete Outdoors Encyclopedia. When not out fishing, he lives in Fairfield, and Barnegat Light, New Jersey.

This book encompasses many Northeast Fisheries, and while I find myself sticking to the section specific to my locale, it has some great info on tools and tactics for all types of NE saltwater fishing.
