I am SO glad that Amazon.com carries Cedarific Cat Litter! The stores in my area used to have it, but no more...and my cats love the stuff. No breaking-in period; they immediately used it without a fuss. Smells great, lightweight, and hooray--biodegradable! Not much tracking, but vaccums up easily if they do walk a bit around the apartment.

I have been using the Cedarific Cat Litter for about 5 years now. I have a domestic short haired cat and she loves the stuff.

I get it from Martin's (Giant in MD) for less than $4 for a 7.5 lb bag. Very convenient to tote home unlike other cat litters and it has a wonderful aroma.

We don't have a tracking problem like someone else mentioned because we use a mat at the entrance to her cat litter and she is a short haired cat.

Just love this product.

guests never smell the litter box. cedar flakes are messy tracking, but superior odor control. I like having UPS deliver it from Amazon instead of lugging it home from the store myself. and when your 17 year old cat has a preference, well, she's entitled to it!

It smells better, lasts longer, and is compostable! Really can't get any better than that except that this cedar litter is about the same price as regular clay litter. I'm hooked. My ONLY complaint is that it does tend to track a bit more because it's lighter, but the pieces are really small and soft so it's not much of a hindrance compared to clay which I LOATHE getting on the bottoms of my feet (I don't have carpet). Like everyone else said, it's not immediately obvious that the pieces are cat litter so it's not embarrassing to find trackings. Will definitely buy again!

This is basically a bag of fine cedar shavings, but it really works! The scent is wonderful and it absorbs liquid and odors better than any traditional litter I've ever tried. I'd have given it five stars a month ago, but since we've gotten a new kitten I notice it tracks all over the house. I still love it, but it might drive someone crazy if they have multiple/manic cats or OCD.

My cat has been slowly losing fur off his belly for the past 6 months and nothing that the vet prescribed has helped... I read online that the clumping cat litter can cause fur irritation and over-licking by the cat. Since using the Cedar Chips my cat has a downy fuzz growing back and his skin seems less sore and more natural in color.

We cats are highly discerning, not picky. Having said that, Cedarific litter is pleasant to my delicate paws, easy for the human I own to carry, releases no choking dust when poured, clumps for cleaning, leaves no grit or sand on the floor, and remains lightweight even when, um, "used." It emits a pleasant odor of its own that doesn't bother me because there's nothing weird or artificial in it. Maybe it even discourages moths, although I've never had them in my coat so I really don't care. All in all, it's my favorite litter ever! I hope we never use clay litter again. This stuff is far more absorbent, soft (much more like soft shreds than "chips") and functional. I like my new restroom so much better now.

So glad Amazon sells Cedarific. Last year the vet recommended Cedarific. The task of cleaning the box is now a BREEZE. No more stinky, dusty, hard-to-clean clay litter. Our home smells great now. Scoop poop daily; the urine stays on the bottom and doesn't smell. With 2 cats using 2 boxes, after 7 to 10 days, I just stir litter around and dump: NOTHING STICKS TO THE BOTTOM! Cats' view: We like it. Very kind to paws: soft. Our sensitive noses approve the light cedar smell. Thanks, meowm! Human again: I don't actually buy this from Amazon since the pet store nearby carries it. I would follow this product to the ends of the earth and if it becomes unavailable locally, would definitely buy it from Amazon.

Once a week we put in a fresh JohnnyCat liner, pour in 3-4 inches of this cedar litter, and never smell any cat odors--and no scooping. We have one cat, and this is ideal for us. The litter is light to carry, and has that nice cedar smell with no dust like clay litters. This is all I will ever use now. I get this at the local Giant supermarket here in PA for only $4.19 a bag.

I love this litter and my cats love it. I just wish I could purchase it locally without having to order and ship. Great product.
