4.0 out of 5 stars NX reveiw, March 25, 2000

As a mega Northern Exposure fan I thought I knew all there was to know about the show and it's quirky characters. This book filled in the blanks. It was a fun and nostalgic trip back to the days of the television series that made millions of us wilderness wannabees! The personal interviews made me feel as if I know the stars personally. The book took me behind the scenes and gave me a wonderful insight of what it really takes to produce a T.V. series, and make it work.

This book is a nice supplement to the series for the hardcore fans. You'll learn more about the behind the scenes, and about all the actors. I'm a huge fan of the show and I thoroughly enjoyed this book.

3.0 out of 5 stars This show would deserve a better guide, November 14, 2010

Northern Exposure is one of my favorite show. That's why my curiosity as a fan is enormous. The book is not bad, but it's the official one!!! There are a few trivia, the five seasons' episode guide (and the sixth?) consists of summaries (no notes, no nitpicks). The first part is a commentary during the shots of one episode, but the author tell us things that I don't think are very interesting. For instance: Janine Turner spots a blue jay! So?
On the contrary, I invite you to read the interview to the creators Joshua Brand e John Falsey: enlightening.
Anyway, a MUST, for a real fan...
