5.0 out of 5 stars MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITE SONDTRACK CD
If you ever wished you could tap into Chris Steven's record collection at KBHR, here's your chance. This is a fantastic blend of eclectic music that just seems to work together seamlessly. I love every single track on this CD. It will definately bring back fond memories of the series (still my favorite TV series of all time). Even if you are not a die hard...

3.0 out of 5 stars Caribbean Blue
If you remember the episode where Holling
has to bury Jesse, and Chris is reading the
Paddle to the Sea excerpts, then you probably
remember that incredible Enya music at the end
of the 3rd season episode named THE FINAL FRONTIER.

The Enya track is from Sheperd Moons, Caribbean
Blue.

5.0 out of 5 stars MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITE SONDTRACK CD, December 5, 2000

I love every single track on this CD. It will definately bring back fond memories of the series (still my favorite TV series of all time). 5.0 out of 5 stars Bring back the other CD too!, April 15, 2004

This review is from: Northern Exposure: Music From The Television Series (1990-95 Television Series) (Audio CD)
There are (were) two CD's made from this wonderful show. This was the first. For those who miss Enya's Ebudae , it is on the second CD. These were 'out of print' for quite a while, so hopefully the second CD will make a comeback too! Both of them are delightful!! If you truly love the show, you can remember when most of the tracks appeared (like the "When I grow to old to dream" (when Maggie gives Chris back his voice <grin>). I do agree with Lisa Wallis, though, and would love to hear more! The music was such an integral part of the show (it was LOUSY at the beginning, but became another cast member somewhere along the way)!

5.0 out of 5 stars It's like finding yourself in Cicely, Alaska!, August 2, 2000

This review is from: Northern Exposure: Music From The Television Series (1990-95 Television Series) (Audio CD)
I bought this cd because I'm a serious fan of Northern Exposure and because listening to the music from the show reminds me of all the characters, storylines, and the general feeling of amazement and joy I got from watching the show. Every song is quirky and upbeat, just like the citizens of Cicely. Whether it's the awesome instrumentation on David Schwartz's "Theme from Northern Exposure" that opened the show each week or the country rock beats of Lynyrd Skynyrd's "Gimme Three Steps", each song is guaranteed to bring a smile to your face. If you love Northern Exposure buy this cd and allow your ears to take a trip to Cicely, Alaska. Your entire soul will thank you!

5.0 out of 5 stars Sunday Morning, August 8, 2001

There are times in our life when things seem somehow surreal, almost perfect. This album makes me think of those "good times." Memories often relate back to sensory experiences ... for me it's often music. This album reminds me of perfect late afternoon light falling on my young sons at play, or the soft brown color of my old, well-used rolltop desk, a great dinner with the one you love or even your favorite book. It's good, it's comfortable, without being trite, it's like coming home.

One perfect August Sunday afternoon this CD was on and I looked up at old yellow single-seat float plane winging it's way over my house. I'll never forget it.

Buy this album, you'll never regret it and you'll never stop listening to it.

5.0 out of 5 stars You'll Love This!, April 7, 2000
This review is from: Northern Exposure: Music From The Television Series (1990-95 Television Series) (Audio CD)
Strange thing about this CD - it makes you love songs and types of music that would have previously have made you cringe! Etta James, Nat King Cole - not the sort of thing that a Techno-junkie would ever consider. But by God you just can't stop listening! You will love this CD! And Yes - it really does remind you of the show. You want to watch the repeats all over again simply to find out how the songs were used in the show. An Excellent Soundtrack - Brave and Fullfilling!

4.0 out of 5 stars really good, but could have been better, March 23, 2003

I love Northern Exopsure, so I had to get this CD. All the songs on here are extremely addictive and you'll find yourself singing along with them in no time. I certainly find myself smiling whenever I watch all my old NX tapes and I hear one of these songs in the back ground. However, that's just what they are ... background songs. Although I really like the CD and play it often, I think it would have been much better to have songs that were actually featured on the show rather than ones that were only in the background. I mean, any real NX soundtrack should have songs like "Our Town", "Toy Cows in Africa", "Pencil Neck Geek", and Enya's "Ebudae". I know I'm making my own CD with those songs and more on it. However, if you want some catchy quirky songs to listen to with a wonderful picture of our favorite DJ on the cover, deffinetly get this CD.

This review is from: Northern Exposure: Music From The Television Series (1990-95 Television Series) (Audio CD)
This selction of music from the series is so well put together, that you can imagine yourself listening to Chris Stevens in the morning from KBHR Cicley, Alaska It's a very nice complilation of horizon- widening music, as eclectic as the show itself. I highly recommend this C.D. to fans of the show as well as people who just like good music.

We bought this cd, because we loved the theme song of Northern Exposure. Listening to all the songs, brings us right back in the heart of the serie, which unfortunately is no longer to watch here. We recommand it very much.

5.0 out of 5 stars Better than I remember, March 8, 2007
This review is from: Northern Exposure: Music From The Television Series (1990-95 Television Series) (Audio CD)
I originally bought this as a cassette soon after the TV show reached NZ. I was clearing up and found it and thought it would be great to get it on CD to listen again to the great compilation. And I wasn't disappointed. What a great sound. The music is so lively and enjoyable. Brings a smile to my face.
