Poorly designed and even more poorly made, March 4, 2004
By A Customer
This review is from: Northern Industrial Tools 8-Lb. Stainless Sausage Stuffer
A very crude and inefficient stuffer. It's cast iron (very rough sand casting) so its extremely heavy and, unless attached to a counter (unlikely for most users,) very unstable and hard to get much leverage. The above could be forgiven if the performance wasn't so poor. Vey shoddy fit between the horn and ram means that about 1/3 of the capacity bypasses the ram and must be re-stuffed. Mine will become a boat anchor this summer

Poor choice for a stuffer., February 3, 2005
This review is from: Northern Industrial Tools 8-Lb. Stainless Sausage Stuffer
The item is cast iron with a silver (spray paint like) coating. The pork and beef really stick to it well. The meat pusher does not fit well into stuffer so meat is not forced into the casing. The end of the stuffer is angled so the last pound of meat is never stuffed into the casing. I wasted my money buying this hard to clean stuffer.

Piece of junk, August 29, 2006
This review is from: Northern Industrial Tools 8-Lb. Stainless Sausage Stuffer
Utterly worthless. The plunger does not force meat through the tube stuffer no matter how hard it is forced down; rather, it squishes the liquid out of the meat and allows meat to slide around the edges of the plunger.

don't waste your money, July 11, 2007
This review is from: Northern Industrial Tools 8-Lb. Stainless Sausage Stuffer
Ditto to the other negative reviews. This thing will stuff 5 lb sausage in about 2 hours. Why? The sausage squeezes out around the flange and you actually stuff about 3 inches with each plunge. Mine went to the Goodwill store.

Terrible, March 28, 2008
This review is from: Northern Industrial Tools 8-Lb. Stainless Sausage Stuffer
I'm glad to see it wasn't just our stuffer that had all these problems. I agree with everyone' negative comments. So much of the meat squeezed out the end so you had to end up restuffing over and over. Total waste of time and money.

Garbage, January 15, 2011
This review is from: Northern Industrial Tools 8-Lb. Stainless Sausage Stuffer
I agree with everyone this is a piece of garbage I tried it once after the first push i said to myself "what the?" I finished the push till it bottomed out and only a small fraction of what was in the hopper went into the casing the rest squeezed past the piston
I did not attempt to do it again seeing i didnt have the energy after that. LOL dont buy it you will be wasting your money
