I did my whole system with the Paradise equipment and am very pleased with it. In all, I had this 600W transformer, 18 walk/driveway lights, and 6 spotlights. I just bought 2 500ft spools of 12/2 cable elsewhere. The cost of the joiners makes that cheaper on longer runs since the cable seems to come only in 100ft sections here.
All in all, all the Paradise equipment is machined very well. Not a single item had any problems out of the box. No cracked glass. All bulbs worked. Everything fit perfectly. Very sturdy. It does not feel like cheap, flimsy stuff.
I had to do 3 separate runs, with 318W total, so decided to get the 600W transformer. What drew me to this one was the variable voltage (12, 13, 14 and 15W). My longest driveway run is 300ft with 12 lights. I read up on everything and was worried that it would be too long. I originally was planning on doing a full loop instead of a single cable to prevent voltage drop (and also bought 12/2 wire) but when I ran a single cable to the end and put a light on, it seemed bright enough that I just went ahead with the single cable and bumped it to the 15V setting. By the time I put all the lights on, there's a slight difference between the end and closer to the transformer, but not enough that anyone but me can tell. So don't believe the stuff about max 75 foot runs. Just make sure you have 12/2 cable, not the 16/2.
About the voltage settings, each 300W branch has a common screw terminal, and then a screw terminal for 12, 13, 14 and 15V. So you can hook up multiple lines on the same branch at different voltages. You just hook up your common lead on both wires to the common terminal, and hook up one positive lead to, say, 12V and the other positive lead to 15V. I could easily fit three wires in a single terminal. Didn't try 4 but I think it might be tight but you could do it. Again, thicker 12/2 cable. 16/2 might fit more.
The light sensor seems to work fine, even somewhat hidden behind a bush. You can adjust it be entirely off, always on, or on for between 1-9 hours after dusk. It also has an "Auto" setting, although I honestly can't say what it does. The manual wasn't clear. Maybe turns on at dusk and off at sunrise? It does NOT have an on/off timer (like turn on at 5pm, off at 11:30pm). It uses the light sensor, so position it well. You MIGHT be able to put a timer on your electrical plug --- when I unplugged the transformer for 20 seconds then plugged it back in, it remembered its setting. So you MIGHT be able to set it to always on and plugged into a timed outlet. But don't take my word for that --- call the company and ask. Not sure how long the setting is remembered.
Last note: this box is heavy. About 30-40 pounds. So make sure you put the screws in a good solid spot on your house. I used the 2 inch ones out of the box and they did fine.
