My favorite Hanukkah book,
By "marblefarm" (Center Ossipee, NH USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Northern Lights: A Hanukkah Story (Paperback)
I am a teacher in an elementary school, and this is by far the most beautiful book I've found about Hanukkah. A snow storm prevents a pilot and his daughter from getting home for Hanukkah on a cold Alaskan night. The young girl tells the story of Hanukkah to an inuit woman and her daughter. They light an old oil lamp, and observe the northern lights together. It is a most beautiful and meaningful cultural exchange. The wonderful, realistic and colorful illustrations also add immensely to the beauty of the book.

Northern Lights: A Hanukkah Story,
This review is from: Northern Lights: A Hanukkah Story (Paperback)
This book is excellent. When a little girl can't be home for Hanukkah, she shares the story and traditions with her new friends. This book not only offers a bit of Hanukkah, but some Eskimo culture as well. The pictures are beautiful and captivating. Children will love it.
